Best ways to find out: If the spot around your crown is more noticeable, the temples completely lost their density, a balding bridge at your hairline, or if you can literally see your scalp because of how thin your hair is are some of the best ways to know if it's time to shave your head.

You're most welcome, and I agree. I think shaved heads are awesome in general. For a guy who starts thinning, it's definitely the way to go and early before he looks all wispy--really bad look, I think.

Thanks so much for your inspiring videos. I've been losing my hair for a long time, especially in top of my head and the crown area, to the point that I was self conscious and I was thinking all the time how people were staring at my bald spot. A few weeks ago I buzzed my head very short, then a week later a bit shorter and now I rock a bald look, not shaved but 1 mm. Positive attitude in general from people. First day at work my colleagues asked when the saw me and I said I was going bald so I just had to assume it and embrace it. They said it made sense and a couple of them said it was about time😂

Made this choice a month ago and I’m enjoying my decision more and more 👍🏽

My front area was going, so what I did was another option. I had my girlfriend cut my hair and give me the Jason Statham look. A very short buzz cut. Not totally bald but very short. I like this look and my friends say I look good. I dress better and wear cool sunglasses and am very happy not worrying about my hair. Good advice. Be confident and love who you are!

Was staying at my sisters for a while during lockdown and my bro-in-law convinced me to let him shave my head to a 1 all over. Had a thinning/balding patch at the back for a good while that's got bigger and bigger. I never forget the first time i noticed it in a shop changing room which had one of those 360 mirrors i nearly frickin cried. My dad has a decent head of hair so i was not expecting it but both my Grandad's didn't have much hair. I don't know why i have written all this but just to say the feeling after was awesome. I was surprised my head was a better shape for it than i thought and yes there is a sense of letting go of worry and stuff afterwards.

To be honest, this guy in the video and your comment is the most uplifting thing I’ve seen about baldness. My Dad, My Dad’s Brother and my Grandad on my Dads side as well all have gone bald. Now my Brother is the lucky one with nice thick hair and I’ve got thin hair. So naturally I’m thinking and stressing about going Bald. But like most bald people say don’t fight it, embrace it. My Dads been bald for 20 years and it hasn’t affected him, so why should I let it affect me? I know I’m going to go bald one day and to be honest, I’m scared but I’m also looking forward to not paying for the barbers, buying hair products, shampoo, etc

Yeah I did it. I felt much better. I am, however growing my hair back again though as I think it's made me more comfortable with my hairline. I'll go back to bald again, I'm sure.

Yeah man, just get it done and crack on with life. It's too short to worry about hair.

i've shaved my hair a lot throughout my childhood and in my late teens i began growing out my hair. now that i'm in my twenties i've been feeling the urge to shave it off because the amount of hair i see in the shower is concerning and my room just has random strands of hair everywhere plus it's just scary going out in public constantly worrying about how it looks. i don't plan on shaving it right away but i'll give it a few months before i make my decision and this video has helped with how i feel, knowing that i don't have to constantly worry about it or just not give a damn makes me feel good

It's a 3 year old video. But it exactly describe what I do. Spending half an hour to get the hair perfect, and then consistently worrying about the wind currents through the day and not to mention that, water and good lighting become your worst enemies. Hopefully il get the courage soon...

The thing is for me I've been trying ways to regrow for like 2-3 years now, and I keep thinking I actually found something that's working, and honestly I think it is actually working in some ways (like extending my hairline back a bit). BUT then I get a look at myself in the mirror, and I think "wtf?? That's not any better than it used to be. It might even be worse." All the hoping and experimenting and stressing, it's getting to be too much.

Those of us who get red marks all over shaving heads with razor and shaving cream/soap we need to use clipper, trimmers. To dry shave head, one must be comfortable with clippers, trimmers that are to be used. So you need to provide the best and easiest, most comfortable to use clipper, trimmer or combination and show how to do that. If one does not have confidence in tools then they will hesitate to dry shave head.

I've shaved my head completely bald here and there a few times just to try it out, but then I went right back to growing it out about a half an inch. I get sick of looking at it though, so I'll probably just take it all off again for good. Screw it

The hat part wouldn't apply to me. I've always worn hats even before balding. For me it's if I'll look weird or have an odd shaped head

I just shaved my head and it feels fucking AMAZING

It is bold but sometimes one looks better with a shaved head. I decided to do it during covid and never went back. Many people may not like it but one must feel confident.

I'm Norwood 3 and 17 and it's been depressing me so bad I don't want to leave my house and go in public. People already make fun of me and say I look like a divorced dad and i'm afraid if I shave it off it's going to be worse then it already is. I truly hate balding.

I’m a sly bald guy, ie bald by choice rather than need. I really prefer it, easier to look after.

Its easy bro....im a barber and i shave my head. Go to your barber and tell him to shave it then sit back and relax. Thats the first step. You will be nervous, scared but just do it. You will be shocked at first but after a short time you will start to feel better about yourself. Go for it my bald brother!!!!

I just shaved after a few weeks debating whether I should just shave it off I have thin hair and it was getting patchy and I could see lighter spots and honestly besides looking like a knee cap I feel great it’s quite freeing 🤙

I'm 27 and each year my receding hairline gets more noticeable... should I shave it or just let it grow? I don't have thin hair but when the wind is somewhat string my hairline becomes embarrassingly visible.

41 and struggling with this I still have hair, but it’s getting thin. It’s been getting worse the last year or two and this is the point I’m at I’m about 90% of the way there to just shaving it completely.

Well everything your saying is true..! I have a widows peak and a receding hairline somewhat and thinning hair left and right of it...! If I do go bald though at 30 I won't stress about it and get a buzzer at the store I'll just watch thin out! that's my idea..!

I’m 19, it started thinning slightly when I was about 15. Got out of the shower this morning and I could really see my scalp through the clumped up wet hair. It’s fucking scary. Part of me wants to get rid of it but I still haven’t got a great beard and my hair has a bad shape.

Im going to the army next week and i have to shave my head, my hair started thinning last year and i can still hide it, so no one except for my mom knows that im balding. Really feels like shit cuz im just 18 and i know that ones im out of the army im not gonna have a lot of hair left

The number one factor, after shaving your head, is - STAY TRIM. Being fat, and bald, is not a good combination when it comes to one’s appearance.

Started losing my hair in my mid to late 30’s, I didn’t want to shave my head, but my hair had too much hair loss and thinning hair loss. I didn’t want to shave my head, but I didn’t like losing my hair, so I said goodbye to my hair in May 2020 and my hair is gone and I’m fine with it.

If you were in hats all the time, it’s not a big deal because if you shave your head bald, you’re really gonna be wearing hats

Snapchat Sketch takes a few times to get good. I’ve got a few videos with a few tips but straight off the bat one of the best things I’ve found is shaving my head I a really hot shower helps.
