Cause you look absolutely fine, and most guys do. If a guy "can't go bald", it's because that's a mental weakness they need to try to someday overcome. I can imagine you with hair and both looks are equally valid as long as you actually have the confidence. The shaved head just makes you look more masculine, as if that's ever a bad thing.

Shaving my head was the best decision of my life. I shaved it one day before my 28th birthday. Don't let the thoughts of "my head isn't a good shape" or "it won't suit my face" deter you. These are common thoughts-- and they are excuses. You have two decisions to make: 1. Shave your head AND 2. Tell yourself that you are going to OWN IT no matter what. And by deciding that you will OWN IT, you will literally never worry about your hair again...it's seriously a great trade off! I feel so bad seeing people chasing hair solutions their entire lives. Shaving is the most liberating feeling you'll ever have. You can do it!! I believe in you!!

I buzzed off a pretty full head of hair on August 23, 2009. I was sixty years old. I had used Rogaine for a year or so a few years before that, I think when I was in my mid to late thirties, because my mother had nagged me about my thinning hair and then gave me a beginner kit of Rogaine. I don’t remember how long I used it, but it was expensive, I didn’t think it was making a difference, and I really didn’t care that I was losing it. My wife agreed with me. I didn't ask Mom and she didn't mention it very often after I told her it didn't worry me. I had been getting tattooed for several years and basically had a full body tattoo from above my shirt collar to my fingertips and toes. I had an appointment to get the back of my head tattooed later that week and had to decide for sure what I thought about being totally “bald and beautiful” while I still had a few days to back out of that commitment! So I took the clippers in hand and very quickly cut a swath from above my eyes over the top of my head to my shoulders. I turned my head side to side and started laughing. When I finally regained my composure, I rapidly finished the job, mowing down my eyebrows to complete the look. I have been proudly bald since that day, bearded most of the time since August 23, 1997, and virtually 100% tattooed since 2010. I have shaved my scalp and face since then only to get more tattoo done. I like the way my face tattoo can be seen under my beard along my jaw and below my mouth. Absent a medical emergency, I plan never to shave my beard again but never to go more than a few days without shaving my scalp. I am happy to be a beardguy since 1997, a tattooguy since 1998, and a baldguy since 2009!

Hi mate, just wanted to thank you for this channel. I’ve been dealing with a receding hairline for the last 6 years or so and have wanted to take the plunge for a while now but just didn’t have the confidence. Over the last few years I’ve really started to worry less about what others think and that’s led me to focus more on how I feel about myself. I came across your channel only a month or so ago and after watching only a few of your videos decided to go for it. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made and I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin now and I don’t think I would of done it anytime soon if it wasn’t for this channel! So keep up the good work man, I imagine there’s a lot of men out there in the same position that will benefit from your channel and I personally look forward to watching many more of your videos. I’ve had guys want to fight me over it, shout at me in the street, girls think Im old enough to be their father. Every day a comment. Without fail. Shaving my head and a couple of days beard growth seems to be the answer and the only way forward.

Thanks for this, this helped me a lot since I have been struggling with my thinning hair and V shaped hair line, problem. it is so stressing and so much time wasting looking for solutions, all of which temporary with poor results, it is expensive as well. Some therapies like minoxidil had terrible consequences for my including ED. The thing about minoxidil giving you a hard time in your bed performance is the fact that drugs which mess around with vasodilation can cause all sorts of side effects related to circulation and blood pressure. Erections, genital sensitivity, and other aspects of sexual functioning and responsiveness fall under that category, according to an Urologist I visited. A total pain in the ass totally not worth the side effects, stress, anxiety and so and so on. Going for the barber shop right way. Maybe I will not be getting a shaved head just yet but I will be having a really short buzz cut hair style, you know for preparing myself little by little until it is ok for me to shave it all off. Thanks to all you guys for sharing your experiences, It helps to know you are not alone in this.

I turned 40 this year and have been slowly losing my hair AND going grey since I was in my mid 20's. I had pretty thick hair and over the years I noticed the front starting to thin out. I knew eventually it was going to happen so I just made the best of it and experimented with it by dying it pretty much every color under the sun. To make a long story short, once I hit 40, it had gotten so thin at the front and receded so far back, I debated just shaving it all off and going bald. I can honestly say I actually like it. I don't have to ever worry about having a bad hair day. I can just throw a hat or beanie on and go about my day.

Been wet shaving mine everyday for about 5 years now (currently 34). It looks MUCH better than the MACDONALDS M style of receding hairline I had prior to wet shaving. It's just standard procedure now. ALSO, its much cheaper and less hassle than going to the barber every week trying to cut the hair in a way that 'disguises' the receding hairline.

For me it has never been a big issue. Of course, when you are in your late twenties and notice you hairline is changing, the first thing you think is "damn! why me?!" But after a few years I first used a clipper because I was basically fed up with the fact my hair never did what I wanted it to do. I always hated the hairdresser and spend too much time to get my stubborn hair the way I wanted it to be. Such a relief!! Since I do also sports like 6 days a week it is very practical! But most important fow me was that I always had a very itchy scalp. Tried everything. After shavind my head wet witch a rezor blade, the itchiness disappeared as snow for the sun! It only comes back when I don't shave for like 2-3 days (normally I shave every other day). I have to say I am lucky with the shape of my skull and I can get away with it with all my tattoo's and short beard. Best decission ever and can spend the money I save for not going to the hairdresser on new ink ;)

Going bald at any age feels the same.. just feels worse when your single.. then you get that whole im 37, no kids, no girlfriend, no friends, no family, no life thing going on in your head.. the kind of headache only 9mm aspirin can cure.. yea.. just another turd in the basket called life though. Theres always those “at least” things you can keep telling yourself though unless you run out of scenarios to make up…. Down hill on a up hill tractor stuck in reverse…

Missed out on this. I shaved my head kind of by accident, my hair was thinning and probably a few inches long at the time. I heard having shorter hair made the thinning less noticeable so i decided get a number 4 guard on the too. It looked horrendous and showed just how thin i was really going, had no choice but to buzz it all off. Took a while to get used to it but around 8 years later i wouldn't have a hair cure if it existed!

Just shaved yesterday. I'm 25 been thinning since 23. Hated bending over. Sometimes I'd forget about it and so it wouldn't bother me. I was facetiming my dad and we both showed the top of are heads. He's 48 and I had more hair loss than him. We screen shot the comparison. At first he thought my head was his and he was shocked. Not gonna lie kinda hurt. I then preceded to the bathroom used a 3/8 trim. It was short so i thought maybe that'd be enough. Took a picture of the top and back. The hair loss was even more evident. I wonder if it was so noticeable from the back before I shaved... I then went down the lowest guard I had which was 1/16. Pretty much skin. Was still noticeable so I used a razor. My confidence has increased. I look younger than I did before. I'm now obligated to work out lol. Anyone who is balding and are self conscious about it. Just do it. It's liberating and if you don't like the look of being bald (well you were losing it anyway don't think it'll grow back) just start working out. Bald and muscles will look good on anyone. If anyone says anything about it just ignore them. Yes harder than it sounds but who are they to you? A stranger. If it is indeed someone like a friend then they weren't really a friend. This might be cringy to say and I could regret it later but the days of kindoms and empires are long past gone. Be your own king. Do you think a king will let the thoughts of others dictate how he lives?

I shaved my head today...after about 4 years of not getting a haircut...i had really long thick hair for the most part but for abt the past year my hair line has been receding a little bit and my hair was starting to thin out...i was insecure of it always wearing a beanie hat...that changed today...i shaved my head...was nervous abt doing it wondering if it would look bad or if i would regret it...but nah...i love the look and wish i did it sooner...all i can say is do what u want...but if u are like how i was about bein insecure about ur hair and wondering if u should go bald...id say do it...but also know having facial hair really makes the bald look way better.

Too many people view being bald as a means to an end. But it's a choice of style, and not everyone has the balls to pull off an outwardly aggressive and masculine style like that. Someone with a nice cut will get some attention, and some compliments, but the bald guy ALWAYS sticks out. What you do with that attention is entirely shaped by you and how you carry yourself.

What's also masculine is admitting those insecurities and doing something about it. Regardless of whatever the balding man does, be it shaving their head, or taking finasteride and getting a hair transplant, it takes guts.

5:00 big inspo damn. It's so true, when I go out without a beanie fully shaved I automatically feel ugly, and sure enough dumb. Like I'm the dumb bald guy. The thing is I intake so much personal development and relationship development info but when it comes to my hair it all doesn't matter. I work out, talk to women and everything guys consider confident but I know if I had one wish my selfish ass would wish for my hair back. With my beanie on people always think I'm a decade younger and I know if I wasn't wearing it people would not think that. I go back and forth, sometimes I'm confident about it and other times I feel like I'm coping. I want to edit this comment to say I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just venting in a fit of catharsis
