Scizor is a prime example of characters that had a lot of potential for greatness, but fell short, due to having to share the spotlight with multiple actors. The most notable example of this, besides scizor, is all of ash’s unova reserves.

I personally think Goh wasn't a very well handled character in general, to be honest. He had pretty big shoes to fill, being essentially made the secondary protagonist of Journeys, but because he caught so many Pokemon during the series and had to share his screentime with Ash, the great majority of the Pokemon he wound up catching were little more than footnotes towards Goh's ultimate goal of hoping to catch Mew; even the legendary Pokemon he would go on to catch (there were even 2 of them, no less!) would be little more than background characters when they arguably should've been FAR more important in the grand scheme of things. It also goes against the main thing that makes watching this video series so interesting: getting to see the various Pokemon Ash and his companions catch over the years as characters, and almost none of the ones Goh caught (the other notable ones mainly being his Galarian starters and surprisingly girly Pinsir) got to show much personality in their appearances; it's for a similar reason why I was one of the few people who actually didn't want Ash to catch the Latias that appeared in the final 11 episodes of the series, as I just don't think him catching her would have really amounted to anything important, especially when you consider that Ash was to retire from being in the series afterwards, meaning that there was precious little time to focus on Latias, and as a result I feel that if she had been caught she would've fell victim to the same pitfalls that 90% of Goh's Pokemon did due to not getting the time to be properly fleshed out as a character

Scizor was probably closest pokemon of Goh outside Galar Starters to have development. But really, development was so little because most of Goh's pokemon were just collections

Reminds me of a younger Tracey's Scyther, which is good. I wish we got an episode where the old Scyther mentors the new guy. That would have been cool. The whole Chivalry arc was great, but I wish we got that meeting.

In Jayson’s Nightmare, I think I can give Scizor a few Wins

Scizor is one of the coolest Pokemon in existence today! I wish Ash caught his own as well.

Scizor is a Pokémon that Goh always brings along, for a brief moment when Goh returns to the park after Project: Mew, We see Goh with Grookey, Cinderace, Inteleon, his main three, but also with Scizor and Flygon, which proves that Scizor is a main part of Gohs team(also if I where to guess what his sixth is, I’d guess Raichu, as it’s like the team parent, also as a way to remind him of Ash)

I wish that Ash had Scizor instead of Goh. I've always wanted him to have one. Ash likes fast pokemon. Ash would've brought out Scizor's true strength. And it would've given Ash more bug types to add to his Bug arsenal. I can picture it training with Ash's Heracross. The writers should've found a way to have given Goh Kleavor instead. It'd have been a rare pokemon for him to catch.

This video is a really good example of why I did not like Goh. It used to be a big deal when a character caught or evolved a new Pokémon. However, with Goh he caught so many Pokémon that none of them were memorable at all besides his trio of starters

scyther/scizor line was always one of my favs in gen 1 and 2, just one of my fav pokemon of all time. goh's own gusto is what helped his pokemon grow 😭

I remember when it seemed like Goh was gonna start building a solid team with Pokemon he formed bonds with like with Scyther being the first Pokemon he actually had to put effort into catching or the episode helping that Cubone find its bone. However, that didn't turn out to be the case... Heck, it would've been cool if Scizor could Mega Evolve considering how Ash got his items to help Lucario Mega Evolve. It would've helped give Goh some extra power to have a mega. Oh well, Scizor is one of at least 20,000 examples of the wasted potential that Journeys had.

You should do a top 10 favorite Pokémon and or a “what my team of 6 would be” and explain the history behind each choice if there is any.

I like to imagine Goh using Scizor during his battle against frontier Brain Anabel.

I think a good idea for a story would be if one of goh’s Pokémon felt like it never got to do anything except chill at the lab, and demanded that either goh use it or release it, because being stuck at the lab all the time made it unhappy

Still hate the character Goh, but scizor is one of my all time favorite Pokémon so I clicked on this video. Also had to show support to Professor Silver.

That's why. Because he should've beaten Kukuis Braviary. It was all wrong. Despite he can beat Incinaroar if they continued.

I think Goh’s Sythur was cool but I was wasted on Goh since he barely used it also it would’ve been Cool if Goh meet Tracey and Scizor interacted with Tracey’s Syther it could’ve been like a mentor to it since it was a Vietnam Pokemon and do Cilan’s Crustle next since we haven’t yet seen a video on him.

In my opinion I think gohs scizor should be on gohs ultimate team!

It's interesting because since they both have the same BST, they are both good for different reasons. Scyther is faster and can become statistically bulkier thanks to being eviolite compatible, but Scizor has the better typing defensively and a really strong priority move in it's technician boosted bullet punch, and the ability to mega evolve in gens 6-7 gives it an edge, too

Scizor could have been powerful but unfortuantely it was just one of Goh's collections. He did not really bond nor train with it. The last battle it had was easy loss against Alola Ninetales

Scizor felt more like a DBZ side character than a Pokémon the way his story arc was handled. Front and center for much of their early appearance but as soon as their arc concludes they shift heavily into the background to not take focus away from the main character they were supporting (Goh)

@@ProfessorAlexSilverMaybe Goh should get a Key Stone and Mega Evolve Sizor so it can be his ace, I doubt it would actually be as good as other aces in the series, but at least it’d be a start for Goh as he continues his own Pokémon journey.
