Not a huge Kong fan but this scene does capture why hes better for storytelling than most Kaijus. Such a beautiful scene

Except Serizawa only interract with Godzilla in his last day so Godzilla barely known him while Jia and Kong has been bonded for years since they lived in same island

Yeah the kid has a strong bond I don't know what reminds me of Lilo and Stitch or Tarzan . Both focuses on the main female child who lost her parents while taking bonding with an ape just by the tip of their fingers.

Kaylee Hottle (Jia) really deserved praise for her role as well as her performance in this EPIC movie.

Kong is not just a Monster, he connects with us like human. Most intelligent and kind Titan Kong 😊❤

A very heartwarming scene, I loved the bond between Kong and Jia in this film. Hope to see Jia appear in more Kong or any type of Monsterverse film.

The fact that Kong communicated was the best part of this film because too me he incredibly underrated in the kaiju community and especially to toxic fanboys. Also the fact that Kong was not able to break those chains disqusted me.

The gas tanks that’re on his collar rendered him immobile and sometimes unconscious due to the chemical nature of absorbing oxygen around his head which again made Kong weaker due to the lack of oxygen in his lungs. He could rip apart that ship with ease if he wanted, but his body need an enormous amount of oxygen hence why his movements and reactions are slowed.

This scene beautiful asf, the moon light shining on kong bro

What I loved when I was watching the movie was that every time the movie went silent whenever we were watching it through Jia's perspective, the whole theater went silent too.

One of the best moments in the film. Kong and Jia were the heart of the movie.

Ok. 49 years old, saw the big G when I was about 4. Loved him ever since. Never cared much for Kong. This scene deadass made me tear up. #ImNotCryingYurCrying

This was so cute with the dynamic Kong and Jia have; this has to be the most important human/Titan relationship in Monsterverse.

One of, if not THE best scene in the movie. Apart from the actual fighting scenes of course

I’ve just got the DVD and re watched it last week, great action packed movie loved it. Yep, the emotional scenes w Kong really came out and of course the fights as well were epic.

When I saw him using sign language, I was like "That is awesome"

Kong and Jia’s relationship is very special.

It’s almost like the girl had a strong connection to the earth with her senses of hearing. Just like the Chen twins connection to Mothra.

Yeah.

I love this moment it kind of reminds me of Tarzan both focus on the main fingers or hand of bonding. While jia kind of reminds me of Lilo. Both orphan girls who lost their parents. And take interest with creatures. Especially the most unique ones they can see and find. And both live on Islands.

If there is any Kong film in the future Adam Wingard should direct that too

Thinking about it the sign language wasn't too much of a surprise. Kong has done sign gestures before in the Peter Jackson film, or a form of the movie sign that Ms. Darrow used. I don't know if the gesture they did in the movie was the signs for beautiful or not, but he obviously picked up on what she was saying.

Psychologically speaking vengeance rarely brings the catharsis we hope for
