GODZILLA(2014) | MOVIE REACTION | OUR FIRST TIME WATCHING | GODZILLA VS THE MUTOs | MONSTERVERSE😱🤯

Ойын-сауық

#Godzilla #MUTOS #Monarch
So we did a poll in August and I really wanted to learn more about King Kong and the Monsterverse so to start it off we start with GODZILLA 2014. Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a Navy bomb expert, has just reunited with his family in San Francisco when he is forced to go to Japan to help his estranged father, Joe (Bryan Cranston). Soon, both men are swept up in an escalating crisis when Godzilla, King of the Monsters, arises from the sea to combat malevolent adversaries that threaten the survival of humanity. The creatures leave colossal destruction in their wake, as they make their way toward their final battleground: San Francisco. This is an awesome intro to a more Continuity based Godzilla and the other monster MUTO was dope as hell with the EMP at the End Godzilla was too much for 2 of them. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

The thing is that godzilla is not intentionaly here to protect the humans hes just here to restore balance. Admiral Stenz can't take the risk of 3 titans fighting in a city, would cause a lot of destruction and deaths.

THEY PAID HOMAGE TO THE ORIGINAL GODZILLA FILM by not showing him too much. too many complainers cant appreciate that. plus they completely ignore how much Muto footage was in the movie. personally, i thought it was a brilliant intro to the new series.

The thing I love most about this movie are the monsters and their sounds affects. Listening to the MUTO's speak is just so pleasing to hear. And Godzilla's roar is just amazing.

I saw this movie in theater. When I say that I moved to the edge of my seat with excitement and anticipation when Godzilla started charging up his atomic breath, I am not exaggerating in the least. I also really love that line from Dr. Serizawa: "The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control and not the other way around".

My favorite Monsterverse movie is KOTM, but even though you can like any of the 4 movies, objectively Godzilla 2014 is the best in terms of setting, characters, physics, and scale of Monsters.

You definitely need to watch the original 1933 ''King Kong'', the 1954 Japanese version of ''Gojira'' (Godzilla) and if you want to the 1998 version, ''Godzilla'', which I like, but not as much as the original, or the 2014. There's also a 1976 version of ''King Kong'' which was the acting debut of Jeff Bridges, Charles Grodin and Jessica Lange, but it sucks as a film. You should also check out ''Pacific Rim'', not a ''monsterverse'' entry, but a very cool film!

They do change Godzilla's origin a bit here. In the original 1954 movie, Godzilla was awakened by Castle Bravo test in the Pacific ocean, not by a nuclear sub. Kong: Skull Island is the next film and it's a prequel set in the 70's. Godzilla King of the Monsters(2019) is next and features 3 monsters that he fought in the old Godzilla movies in the 60's & 70's. Godzilla vs Kong is the 4th movie. Next is actually a series coming to Apple TV later this year. It's called Monarch Legacy of Monsters and is set after Godzilla( 2014). Godzilla x Kong The New Empire was coming out in March next year but has been delayed till later in the year.

There are a multitude of radioactive monster films out there. I recommend ''Them!'' (giant ants, 1954) a black and white classic, featuring Edmund Gwynn, James Arness, James Whitmore. The special effects hold up well today, it's my favorite giant insect movie! ''Tremors'' is second, although I don't know if it counts as a giant insect movie, technically. Good hunting!

One of my favorite giant monster movies ever made! This was originally going to be the cancelled 1994 GODZILLA movie that Sony was going to release, but it never happened. I told my brother that Cinematographer Jan De Bont, the director of SPEED and TWISTER, was going to make the project on $150 million dollars but it was deemed too expensive. Roland Emmerich, director of STARGATE and INDEPENDENCE DAY, was hired to direct the new GODZILLA, which got torn apart by critics and fans of the character. Because of the poor reception, all plans for more GODZILLA films were cancelled. Yet an animated series band on the movie was released on TV in September 1998.

My fav part in this one, of course every scene Godzilla is in,..but my other fav, is when they do the drop, the soldiers,.awesome, and like a lot of people comment on the music, the music they play during this drop, so sounds like the music from 2001 Space Odyssey, when the monolith is found, being investigated by the scientists, as they approach it there's the exact same theme,..and like here it increases in pitch, intensity, and the background vocalization,..it brings a heightened, like buildup of fear, and anticipation of something is about to happen, same here, with them dropping right in thd middle of the fight,..also the whole creatures growing to enormous size because they were exposed to radiation,..that was the premise of so many monster movies of the 1950's ,..like Them!!,(do check it out, it's good, Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke series, James Arness is in it), but all the movies from that time, simple creatures were made monstrously huge, crickets, praying mantis, and even humans, there's one about a soldier who was exposed, and then grew to, I don't know 50 feet, can't remember the name,..but it all revolved around exposure to radiation,..and scientists have time after time refuted this, saying that wouldn't happen,..huh,..bit c'mon, they've been wrong about a lot like, they weren't sure dark matter existed,..only because of these new super telescopes are they able to discover that some of these theories are real,..they're just as bad as the people who use to think the Earth was flat,..until....it was discovered it wasn't,.....so enjoy watching this be rediscovered by the younger folk,..do keep going,.ohh and back in the day when the original Godzilla vs Monster Zero came out, the buildup to the movie coming out was like how the the buildup to some fight, like Ali vs Foreman,, we so eagerly awaited that movie,..Godspeed, Peace ✌

PLEASE react to the rest of the MonsterVerse as well! And once you're done with them, I hope you two will also take the time to react to a few of the films from the original TOHO Godzilla franchise. If you decide to do that, here are the ones that I feel are the most important ones that you need to watch: The 1954 original Godzilla, the Heisei series (from 1984-1995), Godzilla 2000, and Godzilla: Final Wars (2004).

I'd also recommend Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964) and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) from the Showa era and GMK (2001). Plus Rodan (1956) and Mothra (1961), their debut films. And other Kaiju movies outside Godzilla that I would recommend like War of the Gargantuas (1966) and the Heisei Gamera trilogy (1995-1999).
