I know a lot of people don’t like this film but this is one of my favorites and I love the take on this one it even got a Cartoon, French nuclear tests irradiate an iguana into a giant monster that heads off to New York City. The American military must chase the monster across the city to stop it before it reproduces.
White Golds first time seeing this so we had fun foreel and maybe we start the monsterverse with this

To be honest, I quite liked their take on godzilla, they changed its look to make it more lizard like, and it may not have sat right with some people but I didn't mind it, I loved the chase through the city, my favourite part of the film🇬🇧
No, Godzilla 1998 is absolutely FAR MORE preferable and much BETTER than the Monsterverse movies could ever hope to be!
This Adult Zilla is the only one in the city. Only one. He slowly recovered from the missiles under water.

This is an excellent movie. A lot of people dislike it, and that's fine, but to me all that matters is that the movie is enjoyable. Godzilla 98 is just another bookmark in the history of Godzilla, and it was a memorable one for sure. It's a 90's monster movie that captured what the 90's were about; bigger, faster, and more explosive. At the time, this Godzilla monster design was awesome. I love the original, and the recent designs more, but it was cool to see Godzilla as a faster, more sleek monster, even though it is a break from tradition.
At least you can actually see Godzilla in this one the 2014 one pissed me off because it was so dark you could barely make out what was going on.
Nice that you reacted to this film 🎬🦖14:03 - realizing that the cameraman escapes being stepped on because he was positioned between the gap in Godzilla's toes is indeed funny 😅
In 34 and I saw this on theaters too back in 98. One of my all time favorites

THIS WAS A GOOD MOVIE!
My favorite childhood movie 😊 I remember having a Godzilla cake 🎂 & also having all the action figures 😂 but I was upset when all the baby Godzillas died 😭 but was happy when one survived 🙌🏽
it looked like the director wanted to make a Jurassic Park movie with the Godzilla IP. Godzilla is a BIGGER T-Rex and the baby Zillas were basically Velociraptors. I enjoyed it for what it was as a kid, so it still has a special place in my heart, but I definitely prefer other Godzilla movies over this.
This movie, it's honestly incredible. But as such, it's not Godzilla, I think hence his hatred.
I honestly still love today cause it was the very first Godzilla movie that got me into Godzilla and it’s my absolute favorite of the series I really do wish it got a sequel but I’m glad it is loved by some people years later
I watched Godzilla cartoon. Very funny and quite interesting.
I loved the TV series it was dope I still have the Complete series on DVD in my room today

It was a decent giant monster movie.. the only complaint I have is that the movie is called Godzilla, and Godzilla is nowhere to be found in the film.

it's actually a good movie But it shouldn't have been a Godzilla They could've changed it to a different creature name ...The animated series was actually pretty good too based off the same Godzilla design

Yeah exactly, most people hated this movie because it wasn’t actually Godzilla… it was just a science fiction monster movie with the “Godzilla” name
My favourite Godzilla film for sure,it sure is a classic!
This is a great movie. Even if you didn’t like it back when It came out, the fact is that compared to all the crap we get nowadays, this movie is a masterpiece in comparison.
This movie is a guilty pleasure of mine tbh.
It's cool the animated series was a sequel to the movie, this godzilla became cyber godzilla.
A lot of the actors in this. Do voiceover work for The Simpsons.
Happy birthday 💪🏻🥋

You guys Should React to the other Godzilla Movies!
Nice
I understand that "Blazing Saddles" and "Airplane" might top list of 80's comedies..... But PLEASE, even if I'm not subscribed to your Patreon...... React to "Spies Like Us"... Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase. A true hidden gem.... Plus I would like to see reactions to movies Everyone else is NOT doing! Thanks... (Hope this gets read) 🤔🙄🤣😪
I remember the cartoon lol it was 🔥
I really like this Godzilla movie. Even like the Puff Daddy and Jimmy Page"Led Zeppelin" sample of Kashmir called Come With Me.
And 1 more thing I said and felt the same exact way that you did white gold 💯 I definitely agree with you.

Some shots was actually a guy in a suit, especially the blurry/dark ones. CGI at that time was still damn expansive, so they had to think carefully about which scenes to use them.
The cartoon was my sh!t!!!!
So white gold in Kong vs Zilla which 1 are you Team Kong or Team Zilla and you to fireworks 🦍🦎?
Okay, okay, don't let the positive reviews of the 1998 movie, Godzilla, fool you; sure, the 1998 movie, Godzilla, might have received generally positive reviews, but it is also the worst out of every monster movie that I do not always love.
Phillip was right, though. Elvis was the king.
Happy birthday, mayne! Love this film! Kinda feel like it takes a hit due to the name "Godzilla", whereas if it had been named differently (Japanese call it Zilla due to the "God" aspect not really being true for '98s iteration) it might have gone over better. Love that "Zilla" gets another live action appearance in Godzilla Final Wars for all of about 30 seconds lol.
The movie is called Godzilla but I don’t see him anywhere
Tristar Godzilla is what happens when Hollywood takes something that's been development Hell for years and just gives it to two guys who openly admit they couldn't a DAMN about Godzilla in anyway shape and form.

I’m late. Happy birthday. I’m the Cree warrior.
I do agree the animated series based off the movie (and connected to the movie) was definitely fire 🔥 and better since it kept the original formula of godzilla. The series itself took some ideas from the original intended movie sequel of g98 while coming up with new ideas. Overall zilla Jr (who is the son of 98 godzilla) definitely acted more like a proper godzilla than his father did.

bro you need to chose a better copy of this movie because this movie in HD 4K is a master piece .. but the copy you are using in this video is so low res CD quality or something and it has like 10 frames a second .. i have no idea where did you find it .. that's why it looks outdated to that young girl
This Godzilla also known as the 1998 american Godzilla in this movie gets alot of hate from godzilla fans especially the Japanese audience. Hell in the movie Premier when one of the original Japanese Godzilla suit actors saw the movie he walked out of the movie theatre and said "That is not Godzilla it doesn't have his soul" Seeing the desecration at what american had done to Japan's biggest star, Toho film studios the Creator's and owners Godzilla and the Godzilla franchise and all the monsters featured in it. Literally bought the rights to the 1998 american Godzilla renamed it Zilla and had it featured in the 2005 Godzilla film Godzilla Final Wars were Zilla/1998 Godzilla fought the original Japanese Godzilla, but the fight only lasted 5 seconds and Zilla got destroyed by the Japanese Godzilla, because as you saw all it took was a bunch of missiles to kill it and I'm pretty sure one tail swap and a blast of Atomic heat ray would work to. Oh and the main bad guy in Godzilla Final wars who was controling the monsters to fight Godzilla saw what happened to Zilla/1998 godzilla, through a tantrum then said "I knew tuna head was useless."
Why does people hate on the graphics it lookbetter than the many of the so called CGI now adays they just say its good because its 2023 style but dont mean its good most are just bulky ugly blobs most the time or dont even look like its real like it looks more like a real Godzilla like a Jurassic Park metets Godzilla why the hate.
The 1998 Godzilla is able to reproduce asexually because it is part monitor lizard and monitor lizards can reproduce without a mate.
You gotta react to the original Godzilla movie it’s amazing, as a huge Godzilla fan this one wasn’t the best but I still enjoyed it as a giant monster movie not so much a Godzilla movie
As a Godzilla movie it's terrible. As a generic monster movie it's ok. The animated series is way better
This is a great movie and I hope you had a good reaction to it. I'm stopping 8 minutes in because you had to open your mouth and endorse sexual harassment in the workplace. 😕🙁☹
This movie gets one steaming pile of fish out of ten this movie had garbage acting,a monster who wasn't even the true Godzilla, and a director who admits that he hates Godzilla, even Toho(the owners/creators of Godzilla)found it t be trash
I remember having this as my fave, but after seeing the newer versions and the japanese versions... I must say, this now feels like the worst Godzilla films ever. First things first, Godzilla doesn't look like Godzilla. and cgi is terrible now, BUT for 1998 that cgi was everything.

There films made use of a large amount of practical effects, animatronics and miniature works. It wasn’t just cgi.
This movie definitely needs to be rewritten

It's a good movie, it's just not a proper Godzilla movie.
Just for future reference this is not Godzilla. This is Zilla. Toho, the company that created Godzilla, bought the rights and renamed it as this movie takes the God out of Godzilla.
You have to react to the real godzilla 2000 2014 2019 Shin godzilla 2016
