hello Pastor Franklin I,m in California Ilive in the high desert Igo to a church called the Solid Rock and every year we do the 21 day fast.Three days of just water maybe chicken broth the the rest on vegetables and fruit Ive done this for the past 4 years with your cd you offer and as the years go by I get more hungry for jesus, I appreciate you for all you do, and pray for your ministry, now my church will be fasting the first sunday of every month....this is a good thing,God bless you.

Daniels fast. Look it up for all the details. But, most of all it is a fast you dedicate unto The Lord. Isaiah 58 is a great chapter on fasting. Search Him with all your heart. You will find Him. May The Lord be with you always!

How do you choose what to fast?

Hey *****, my understanding is fasting is not eating period. I'm still only half way through this sermon right now so I don't know if he mentioned only picking 1 thing to give up. Your questions is a good one and now has me wondering. But it has always been my understanding that fasting is not consuming any food but just water.

There are diff ways to fasts. I don't always fast food. Sometimes I fast from social media or television. I usually choose to fast from those things because they are flesh desires that I put a lot of time into. I use time that would I spend on those things and focus on God. Then there are partial fast. Fasts that don't require you to not eat at all, but give up certain foods. For example, Someone can fast from meat. I've fasted and chose to give up sugar and junkfood. In the meantime pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in the way that you should fast.

Destinee Merritt not according to scriptures. Fasting is purely abstaining from food period. The different ways you indicated is how repenting or turning away from word things should be permanently and not ever pick it up again. If you picked up again it only shows our carnality.

Search for Him with all your heart and you will find Him. Be honest and sincere with your fasting and prayer. The Heart is desperately wicked, but if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness! Be free from all the things that hinder your walk with God and that His purpose for your life be fulfilled. In Jesus Almighty Name, amen! May The Lord be with you always!
