Sowmya Garapati I have found this pastor's message encouraging in my life. it's my earnest desire to pray with fasting to find favour with our Lord. Does it mean I have to just drink and live on water for 21 days..what does fasting mean. Are we on certain diet.?

@@eliannaesther4898 hi Sharon..there is no hard and fast rule for the duration of fasting and the type of fasting you want to do. It can be like eating two meals a day and holding a fast of one meal. Or else it can be having a single meal a day. It completely depends on your body capability. What matters the most is how you do that fasting. What attitude you carry, how obedient and humble you are. The time you spend in your prayers, reading and meditating the Word of Lord Jesus, and worshiping HIM and exalting HIM alone. This is what matters my friend. Fasting is a symbolic representation of your complete dependence on GOD alone.
