In the sixties my dad fasted for 40 days. I was 5 years old. To this day I will never forget what I saw.My dad was the pastor of AFM Orkney in SA. After those 40 days of fasting the Lord blessed us with a revival. On Sundays people qeued for hours to get into the morning service, and after the service they would stay in their chairs for the evening service. One would go to his car to eat something while others would keep his place. The sick were healed, and the building was filled with the glory of God. I could tell much more, but I dont want to. All I can say, Ive never been in such a presence of God since then .

I fast frequently and am presently on a 40 day fast. Your messages are extremely inspirational. I look forward to hunger pangs and it makes me focus immediately on the reason why I am fasting..for GOD, our everlasting love, grace, mercy and forgiveness and instantly I praise and worship HIM.

I want to say something amazing about fasting. Your mind is so sharp during your fast that you notice all the food commercials on the TV that you never even paid attention to before. Pastor Franklin telling us to stay away from tv and other social media will only help us to stay on track.

Watching on 2020 while fasting

I love to pray while I walk outside. I'm able to pray for everyone and everything on a 25-45 minute walk. The refocus and reconnecting with God is so important to me this year of 2023. I'm on day 12 of a 21 day fast. Waiting in earnest expectation of a move of God in my life. I'd love to have a testimony.

1. Fasting is a spiritual discipline that helps us empty out our fullness. 2. Fasting helps bring me to the point where I can acknowledge my emptiness. 3. Fasting is a process whereby I empty myself of my fullness to make room for God. 4. Fasting will crucify the flesh and all unnatural desires associated with lusts of any appetite gratification.

I love worshiping, while fasting I worship, the songs of Hillsong, wow they are amazing. For God so Loved the World, he gave his only Son and whosoever believes will not perish. They will receive eternal life.. In JESUS name Amen.

I pray that God delivers me from evil spirits residing in me and in my household. I pray He fills me with the fruit of the spirit. To be filled with patience, kindness, gentleness, love, joy, self-control, forbearance.

This was my confirmation as to how i was fasting and praying, I thank you for this and most of all I thank God for guiding me as i was searching how to do this fast and prayer. I didn't ask anyone , i didn't know who to ask. I kept asking God and I really disconnected from the world but came on youtube and was guided to PastorJentezen Franklin . God has been good to me, since I started watching pastor Franklin's messages my life has been turned around. I watched a couple of messages on fasting and prayer and God just spoke to me that we should enter into a 21day fasting and prayer, today I can just testify that the mighty hand of God has been moving in our lives. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness and your touch

Jesus says in the Bible that if you pray and believe, you will for certain receive. It's just a matter of believing. If you lack faith, then it says to pray and fast and nothing will be impossible to you. Life is sooo awesome!!! Jesus also says WHAT EVER you ask in his name, He will do it. Whatever we want we can have!!! I feel like I got raptured!! Life is sooo exciting and wonderful now that I believe. It's just a matter of believing to receive answers to your prayers!!

Thank you again pastor Jentezen Franklin. There is something that called my attention with fasting; maybe I didn't understand well. I want to make it a habit of fasting, let's say I start my fasting from 6:00am in the morning, my fasting ends at 6:00pm or it continues the next day until I complete the fifth day, the five days of fasting? Or I stop at 6:00pm and continue the next day which will be the 2nd day from 6am to 6pm. Please I need to know to fast the correct way. I am listening to fasting series. I see labels 1 and 2. I watched other fasting videos that seemed connected.My problem is I haven't heard how to do It. I'm desperate to go to higher level and gain victories I haven't gained any other way. what is the process....water only? juice? can someone help me .

Jentezen Franklin has a small book called Fasting. It's really interesting and easy to understand. It'll make you want to fast and it teaches you how to do it. So you decide between you and God what you want to give up, but it has to mean something to you. So something you are willing to sacrifice. A normal food fast just consist of you have water with no food. But you can also do a partial fast where you either take in just liquids or fruit or refrain from certain foods. Sometimes fasting can be giving something up for a period of time that takes your focus away from God, like social media as an example. It's not so much how you fast, but its about the heart to go deeper. Try starting small with just one day ; sun up to sun down or a time frame like 6am-6pm, and see how you go from there :)
