Okay. Now that I hear this scene again, it feels like she wasn’t trying to make Thor go after Atreus, but to confront Odin, which she actually confirms later when she showed her daughter that Odin was using the Midgardians as a fruitless defense. She didn’t want anymore of her family to die because of Odin.

Thing is....sif is right. Odin will eventually use everyone. He doesn't care about any of them. He would use their daughter next if he had to. Thor needs to step up and say no.

If Thor was going to disobey Odin, he has much more to gain by allying himself with Kratos and the gang than trying to kill them. After all, the whole reason Kratos had to kill Magni and Modi was because Odin sent them to attack him. Kratos doesn’t want to kill them all, he just wants peace, but Odin won’t let him have that. The common denominator here is Odin, not Kratos. But Thor and Sif are too blinded by their rage at him for killing their sons to realize it was Odin’s fault, not Kratos’. Honestly it makes sense given the themes of parental grief that are pretty pointed through the whole rebooted GOW series. Sometimes losing a child makes you do things that don’t make sense.

A. Odin and Thor literally BROKE oaths in Norse myths. Which was a Big no-no to Vikings, and Loki while an asshole, was also the one who had to try fix their shit./ So this retelling is not that far fetched B. And most importantly: *"We don't know what Norse myths was really like"* The Vikings absolutely and stubbornly refused to write their damn myths down, we only have some images in their runes to know somethings like: Like a hammer, a Flying Boat, a Sun, and a Figure what may be Odin, and that is. Our modern, and ironically Modern Pagans too, knowledge of Vikings religions came from CHRISTIANS MONKS who wrote their myths in 1,400, nearly four hundred years after the Vikings, based on some few documents about their interactions and descriptions of places. And even those are writings were already modified for a Christian perceptive, so we will never truly know what the hell Vikings worphiped

Sif's hair is blonde here I guess Atreus (Loki) never cut off her hair as a prank in this version in the original myths, Loki was a bit put off by how Sif kept bragging about her hair, so he cut it off, Thor forced him to give Sif new hair, so Loki tricked some dwarves into giving Sif a magical wig that would become her new hair, but because Loki refused to pay gold in exchange for that wig, the dwarves made a black wig instead of a blonde one, so Sif's hair turned from blonde to black, but Thor still thought she was attractive as punishment for this prank, Loki ended up having his mouth sown shut for a while, so he would not be able to use his silver tongue to speak clever lies

Had this not happened, I think Odin would've won...Sif really did throw a wrench into Odins plans with this one. He probably could've outsmarted Atreus or just simply taken the mask once he got Atreus to Asgard, but Sif's speech to Thor (and Thor directing his anger at Atreus instead of Odin) causes Atreus to flee back to Sindri's house, which saves the mask.

@@mspionage1743 In combat sports like boxing or mma fights are scored on a 10 must system per round. Usually it would be scored 10 points to the winner of a round and 9 tot he loser. If the person losing gets beat up bad and dominated really badly, then they would be giving 8 points rather than 9. Making it a 10-8.

Thor is a very simple man. Hes not very bright, he mostly exist on instinct like how he wants his fathers love or just wants to fight most of the time. He doesent really care much about his sons because he just doesnt there is no deeper meaning. But Thrudd he cares about like A LOT so much that he gives up drinking and becomes less aggressive. Have you seen the scene where Faye calls Kratos "good boy"? I laughed so hard. She completely lied about her nature, her past and her intentions for her own interest and Kratos still simps for her even after finding out after she died. She "loved" Kratos like a dog owner loves their pet. Kratos was an unstoppable force that was tamed by a woman. That's the moral of the story.

@Emerald NOPE! he wasn't one, he was broken by Odin. In a sense he is a simp of Odin instead but because Odin literally use him as a tool like everyone else. Just like Loki does in the nose myth ... who is kinda ironic as well.

@Emerald sorry, you idiotic logic and bidoof law doesn't apply here. A definition of a SIMP is someone seeking attention from someone who didn't give a frick about that person (been male or female) and for that attention mas cater to every need. In Thor's case, he wasn't a simp of Sif, but a simp of Odin instead. That is reflect through all the game, included all interaction with Odin as well, and the final part of the game, before Thor realize he was a SIMP of Odin the entire time and decide to not listen to him anymore.
