if i recall correctly, he said it was because it interfered with his bible studies, since when he came back, he had became a newfound christian. and the reason he didn’t hold a belt after that 2002 reign was because he said he chose not to, he preferred to put others over rather than hold the belt himself

@@Green.P3 naw boss you weren’t watching smackdown in 2011 then not to mention the work he did with Bray Watt and Aj styles back in 2016-17. He also had his debut match on smackdown if you didn’t know. Before evolution and HHH recruited him he was a smackdown exclusive. 2006 the rivalry with Kurt and Rey. Randy vs Christian, as well as Mark Henry.

Stone Cold and Punk are essentially the embodiment of what the Raw show is supposed to be.

@@cerebralassassin2185 Meh, I feel like he's pretty overrated to a degree, when people say he brought people back to wrestling, all-time great promo cutter and deserving of his praise, but if people were to tell me that he was a quintessential part of WWE being great overall, I'd probably just need to watch the era and still feel disappointed cause most of that stuff was bland and I get that HBK and Bret were big stars in the New Gen era, but I'd still argue that the era they were in was hotter than 2010-2020. And I'm not saying he's bad, I just feel like he's being forced as this all-time great when he was only really hot for a bit and wrestling was at all at its peak.

A lot of guys might not have been “goats” but they are all RAW legends at the very least. But all of them, had points where they were main eventers on Raw, Owen in the early to Mid 90’s. 2008 Jeff Hardy 2006 RVD 2003 Booker T 1999-2001 Kurt Angle Again I’m not saying they’re the best. But still, they deserve a shoutout.

I agree that Shawn's second run was better than his first because not only was he a top ring worker, but he was also a good person.

Jericho did not create the Elimination Chamber match, he was credited for the idea of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The Elimination Chamber was created by, Eric Bischoff.

I grew up from the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era in the WWF/E with Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, HHH, Undertaker, Mick Foley, Kane, Kurt Angle, John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton, Edge and etc while I was watching Smackdown and Raw at that time back then when I was a kid.

Feels really good that people are giving Seth his flowers. He has carried Raw from mid 2014 to present day, except his brief stint on smackdown in 202.

No had a higher quality run than Austin. It’s hard to even imagine anymore what it felt like to have to be in front of that screen every Monday no matter what. That’s the only metric I need

Oof, comparing Hangman to Bret Hart is like comparing a freezer burnt White Castle burger to a perfectly cooked Kobe beef steak.

What I don’t really care for is that you had Austin as the centre of the thumbnail for Raw, but not Rock for Smackdown when he meant just as much to the show since he was the one who was the centrepiece to even get it started. Without Rock, Smackdown wouldn’t of been a thing since you needed a draw for it, and who better than the guy who drew like Austin.

I don’t get why fans be saying John cena was the problem for ratings going down clearly they be not realizing that social media became big during the mid 2000s which made a big difference in ratings cena drew more eyes outside the United States then anyone.

Austin as is not even close. Think about 98, austin and taker were the only main event baby faces at the time. Rock and foley would finally become main event guys at the end of the year. Hbk was gone and hhh wouldn’t become the game till next year. Wcw had a stacked roster with sting, hogan, goldberg, nash, hall, savage, Bret, flair, ddp, giant, steiners, Jericho, booker, Eddy, benoit, rey, perfect, raven… Stone cold era started and he lead the wwf to win the ratings war in 98 over that amazing roster

I don't know if I would put Punk and Rollins in there. I don't think Punk was good in a time where everyone was kinda just being basic and the PG stuff was really on a tight grip so he stood out more. Rollin's is... kinda just the momentary Raw guy that's doing a good job, but I feel like it's pretty much like how Roman is the Smack-Down guy. It feels just like a case of being on top is the only reason he's there. I would personally replace them with Lita and Trish. While they were women in a time where the division was kinda looked down upon for being mainly about sex appeal, they just had so much character and made the women's division matter so much with their promos, matches and characters that it's arguable when they left the women's division was on life support till the women's revolution.

This page definitely sucks Austin a bit. I love Austin, but there’s times I’m like Rock was just as big and it’s rarely ever stated by him. They make it sound as if Rock was just some regular wrestler when he, Austin and Hogan has drawing power like no other.
