Except Triple H and Hunter are one and the same gimmick. His biggest change was actually from Jean-Paul in WCW to Hunter/Trips in WWF/E.

If you do a second part, you really need to include Glenn Jacobs. Dude went from a freaking dentist to an absolute legend

Austin is really an upgraded gimmick of an upgraded gimmick. The Steve Austin name originally was to tie him to the Six Million Dollar Man. He was originally supposed to be implied to be a cyborg. That was dropped before it was a thingn and he had the "Stunning" Steve Austin and meant to be a pretty boy. This is why his finisher is called the Stunner. Changing from Ringmaster to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was building on his original idea as a cyborg (Steve Austin was more of an assassin in the novel "Cyborg" that the Six Million Dollar Man series was based off of. So the version he debut as "Stone Cold" was a lot closer to his original gimmick; but he quickly adapted and morphed it into the version we recognized based on his instincts. WCW should have let him do what he wanted rather than force him into the Stunning and the Ringmaster personas, his instincts definitely would have given us something similar to what we got. They take the cake for being terrible at listening to their talent.

I was already in awe at the goth look and then at 13yrs old and seeing Taker for the 1st time blew my mind and I loved that look.. The only thing Taker was missing was a nice set of New Rock boots.

Can't lie, 2 of my favorite acts of the late 90's and early 00's (98-02 specifically) were 2 Cool and the APA.

That Too Cool team up with the Rock and Mick Foley was one of the best things I had ever seen as a kid lol

Yup. Didn't debut in WWF until Survivor Series '96 in November.

The problem with Nash was the fact that he spent all of his late 1990s WCW career in desperate need of intensive knee surgery.. and he really never should have gotten that much money. As for "Broken/Woken" Matt Hardy... he single handed resurrected IMPACT.. and the fact that one man was able to do that screams volumes about the fact that both the sale of WWE *_and Vince "retiring" finally!!!_* came a decade later than it should have!

LA Knight previously performed in WWE during early NXT days as Slate Randall, before going to TNA and becoming Eli Drake. Therefore, he had two successful gimmick changes.

To me growing up every APA segment on Raw was gold !!! They could do comedy to serious and everything in between and then they just destroyed opponents!!!! Definitely one of my favorite tag teams of all time!

How huge and significant Festus to Luke Gallows change was shows the fact that virtually nobody realised it is the same guy when Gallows debuted. He lost alot of weight and shaved his head and grew a beard. All of this totally changed his look.

Too Cool was very over and could've had a New Day type of run if really pushed and marketed more

People of the past would think that upgrades and downgrades for wrestlers are all 50-50 occurrences, whereas people of today would believe that downgrades for wrestlers are more common than upgrades.
