The one thing that no one is addressing is that FedEx shouldn't be sending drivers out to deliver overlarge packages by themselves. The driver should have had another FedEx employee assisting her.

Those packages are not over large, they are simple to deliver using a dolly by someone that is actually capable of doing the job that they are hired to do.

No one else is responsible for her lack of professionalism... They do not work for the delivery company. FedEx informs you to stay away from the drivers as they perform their duties. Some deliveries are deemed undeliverable due to various circumstances. Find the one that fits.... note the account... move on. We'll gladly try tomorrow... this was her delivery area... most likely she will be in that same zipcode for months... the package is paid for. I betcha they will clear a path next time...

People are allowed to get upset. It’s not like she was violent. She messed up and said something stupid but she shouldn’t be immediately fired over it. The reason she IS being fired is because society has become so overly sensitive. It’s these people who sit on their computers all day and never leave the house who look to report every little thing that happens that they don’t like. A lot of people in this comments section are like that. Get over yourselves already.

As a mailman who deals with a lot of Amazon packages I can understand the frustration of the Fedex driver. I have also had customers just stand and watch me struggle with packages. However, I realize that it is NOT their job to come help me. It is my job to get their packages to the front door whether I have help or not. Having a bad attitude like she did is not in anyway going to help the situation. Plus she doesn't know the physical capabilities of the customers. From the voice alone she didn't sound like she would be much help. And even if there were men there maybe they have recently had surgery of something. You never know. Just look at the bright side. At least their ordering of packages keeps you with a job. I tell some of my customers that order a lot--- "Thank you for single-handedly keeping us in business" 😁

I am a 40 year employee at another major shipping company and although I can appreciate her frustration, especially after falling, It is not the customer's responsibility to help us. Especially residential deliveries. If a customer helps when asked that's great. However, if they get hurt, even on their property, they could sue us. Our company does not allow us to enter a customer's home as well. Either way, ya just can't be talking like that to customers. Just saying.

The delivery driver was clearly struggling with this heavy load. The girl filming should have put down the phone, grabbed the keys and moved the cars. I think what the worker said about the lady "going back to her country" was wrong and Fedex should send two workers on the job, but also that lady has no modal/ respect, patience, and is likely to not help someone in a similar case if needed help, because she clearly didn't bother to do so in here. I was a FedEx Express Swing driver for 16 years. I’ve had numerous run-ins with hostile customers and disgruntled customers. Don’t argue with them. Do your job and go. You don’t get paid to argue or take abuse from customers. People feel this need to waste time and air arguing with a customer who has no idea what you’re going through, or how FedEx works, but they blame the courier all the time…In this case however, the courier was completely out of line and committed several terminable offenses. You can disagree with a customer, but you cannot make racist or belligerent remarks, and you definitely cannot intentionally mishandle packages. If a customer was sensible and voiced a concern, I would help them, but if the customer wanted to argue and act hostile, then I would tell them to call customer service, and I would move on to my next stop. Your manager and customer service get paid to deal with angry customers, not the courier. Attempt to deliver the package and move on.

Most of them have an bad attitude from the start. They give you your change back after a purchase and say nothing., then I say "YOU'RE WELCOME" They don't understand, without the costumer they don't get paid. I feel for that delivery driver. 100%. However, being in a job, you have to maintain professionalism. You have to bite your tongue, and just finish what is required of your job and keep going. Especially in this day and age where everyone is quick to throw their phones and film you, you have to build up on your strength mentally and physically. Honestly, if I were her, though, I would have just kept my mind focused on delivering the packages. And although that gave her no right to throw a racist slur, the lady filming should also put into consideration that the delivery driver is not her personal delivery person, and they deliver long hour shifts to many places. All it takes is one inconvenience to really throw someone off. Delivery driving can be very fun in terms of meeting different people, but it also can be so stressful. And with the holidays coming up, the stress and pressure to get packages out on time is heightened. Again, the delivery driver needs to just learn more about being professional, even if you are not at fault. You have to just do the job and get out of there. You are going to work with people you hate, and you are going to deal with people that may frustrate you, but you gotta hold it together. Because now she exploded at that customer, and that video is now viral, it will be very hard for her to find a new job.

At UPS, drivers can ask customers for help. I'm a driver and management does mention this to us at PCM every now and then. If this girl was working for UPS she'll get her job back because we have a union. FedEx Ground is contractor base, meaning they can let you go for just about anything. I can relate to her emotions because we do the same thing.

I’ve had 9 surgeries in the past 3 yrs, a huge one removing part of my left latissimus muscle and moving it around to my chest. I no longer have the same strength/mobility I once did. I rely on deliveries to my front door. I pay for delivery service, and pay extra for delivery inside my home when necessary. I don’t pay to do the work myself. That’s literally what they’re paid and tipped to be doing.

@@joelc9439 delivery drivers are not supposed to park in people driveways I’m 34 and have never seen a delivery truck from any company park in anyone’s driveway to deliver a package they always park on the curb. I worked at the post office and we were specifically told to never park in a customers driveway and I’m sure every delivery company has the same policy. All she had were excuses of why she couldn’t do her job. She lied on her application and is a racist she deserved to be fired

I work at a store and sometimes I get frustrated or get depressed but however I make sure I give the customer the best treatment.
