While parent Adrian Iraola was in the middle of sharing a story about racism his children endured while attending Saline Area Schools, he was interrupted by another parent in the crowd, who asked "Why didn't you stay in Mexico?" The district hosted the community conversation on diversity, equity and inclusion on Feb. 3 at Liberty School. (Video by: Nicole Hester | MLive.com)

Definitely, but you gotta realize how much better of a country it is compared to many developing countries. We just are exposed a lot of negativity, but we definitely are able to do and express much more here compared to other countries, such as Mexico. Maybe this is just me being from an immigrant household, but I don't think it's that far from the truth. Each country has it's faults. But we are quite privileged compared to others. So I get why he said that.

There is no such thing as the greatest country in the world. But I’ve been to 43 countries. As far as dealing with immigrants, especially illegal ones, America is by far the most tolerant. Which is why they all come here. This isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact. Go to Europe, get a few drinks in your average European (France, Germany, especially Scandinavia) and see what they really think about LEGAL immigrants. They make them jump through so many more hoops. America is a joke in how tolerant it is.

@TheVanilla wrong! Most POC are full of hate. Always feeling like they are owed somthing because the feel like whites are at the top of the totom pole. Which they are! But what alot of POC dont understand is that. was many decades ago and people have changed. For the most part whites in general has stoped judging the majority on the actions of the minority. There is racism against whites though, but I still refer to even that as a getting back at them because now some hold positions of power. It goes to their head. Them thinking yeah we got you back for all the blah blah blah yall did to who ever decades ago before most of us was even born. Mainly only Tribalism exists now for the most part. Now, racism is just words used to try and get a little higher up that pole while climbing up the others backs to achieve their imaginary goal. Hahah.. You think whites are so racist against blacks? You should see how racist blacks are to Mexicans and vixe versa. Its like a natural battle over who comes in second on that pole.. Natural born enimies. Dont believe me? To each others faces they cool but as soon as groups form and there can only be 1 winner you see it just as I have for many years. Thats why I refer what everyone now days racism to actually being Tribalism.

I love how the father just laughs as he realises that he doesn't even need to do anything to prove that what he's accusing the school of is true if the parents are acting like this in public.

guys I'm not a racist person but why is everybody mad at the white guy? I mean my Latino friend literally said ''my kid was crying in his bed because of this school system'' so the white guy asks ''then why didn't you stay in Mexico?'' I mean was he wrong? bro if you do not love here's school system, if your kid doesn't like here's school system and if makes them miserable why don't you leave? my Latino friend couldn't even explain himself he just hide it behind the angry crowd. he uses the ''goosebumps card'' by saying ''but this is the greatest country in the world'' yeah yeah blah blah. give a reasonable answer. you can't. because the white man just BURNED you in front of 40 people. this is not a racist video. white man just asks a fair question?

@@ercihanates6504 well tbh the schools here are not only better but easier as well mostly be ause they're funded by the government whilst over there it's not you have to get your own material and stuff like that not to mention you have to also pay for the lunch as well. They didn't stay in mexcio probably because of money problems and how corrupted it was there could be more reasons but that's just my guess
