Glitterbomb 3.0 vs. Porch Pirates
Ғылым және технология
Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. If you want to learn the design fundamentals it takes to make something like the Glitter Bomb, enroll in my NEW Creative Engineering course at Monthly.com/MarkRober and I'll see you in class!
I started a company called CrunchLabs where we build a toy together and then I teach you all the juicy physics for how it works. So if you want to learn to think like an engineer and have really fun time doing it, check out the current promotion where you get 2 FREE boxes at crunchlabs.com
You should also go subscribe to the CrunchLabs KZread channel cause we’ve got some bangers in the pipeline- / crunchlabs

So stoked to finally announce my creative engineering class has just launched today! Enrollment is now open until Dec 27 at Monthly.com/MarkRober (link also in bio).
This class is a hands-on, 30-day learning experience that will teach you how to use engineering and science to bring your creative ideas to life.
During this class, I'm going to share with you my entire creative engineering process from start to finish. You're going to follow along with me as I fully design and engineer 3 brand new builds from scratch... from how I come up the idea, all the way through bringing the final builds to life.
The best part is, over the month, you'll follow along with me and my process, side by side, and you will leave the class with 3 original, creative builds of your own.
This is the class I wish I had when I was starting out. It's designed to take your skills to make cool stuff to the next level, whether you're a beginner or a more experienced maker/engineer.
The class officially starts on January 4, 2021, and it will only run a few times per year, so claim your spot if you're interested!
See you in class!

They're sociopaths. That's how they think. Everything is about them. They have to be put down, because there is no reforming or reasoning with them. Human evolution weeded them out, and so did living in hunter gatherer societies, where if you didnt cooperate, you starved. Now, the tiny percentage of sociopaths that exist can survive and thrive, even having kids, if they manage to stay out of jail

In France there is no risk of parcels being stolen by strangers in front of our front door, because simply if the person is not there a 2nd pass is carried out, if still absent then the parcel goes either to the local depot of the delivery company or at the local post office, or it is at a relay point with Mandatory Identity Card, on the other hand, parcel theft does exist but is committed by the delivery people themselves. That said, I find this system very ingenious.

In developmental psychology they call this the beginning of an addiction cycle. The adrenaline rush accompanying stealing (and not getting caught) is most likely what the boy was referring to. Only to be reinforced by his mom's approval. So now he has learned that stealing "feels good" and to not tell him mom the next time he steals. Mad props mom! Mad props.
Congratulations on your dedication. What engineering!
Would love to see more of these. I just found your channel. I knew of Pierogi’s and love his channel, too. This is nice to see you getting people on this side of the world. Seems the other side has a lot of corruption without too much happening to the people in the centers. Though I see when their families find out they are shamed, which is something.

in our country (Czech Republic) packages are delivered only to the post office or it is delivered in person by a courier/postal worker. When you are not at home at this time, the courier will not leave the package at your door, but will take it to a depot or store it in a safe place (post, parcel shop or self-service package box where you need to have your unique code to open) where you can pick up the package later when you can. Otherwise, the package wouldn't last an hour at the door, sometimes even shoes are stolen in our apartment buildings here :D

@bigmike-

You're not wrong, but you also have to remember that they don't... see it that way, per se. A lot of thieves rationalize their behavior as "I need it," or "if I didn't do it, somebody would have done it," or even "they can afford it." And so in their mind even though they know it's not legal, they don't necessarily see it as being immoral, whereas a trap box, to them, seems like somebody is trying to take something away from them (even though that is what they were trying to do to somebody else). Shit's crazy.
