@@debs4mysweetbaby - Debstar - If you check out the other comments on this thread, it gets at who actually owns this channel, as well as the ‘official’ Glenn Gould dot com website. It’s all about control of the various GG media, such as his recordings and video, which are clearly worth a lot of money. It doesn’t, however, explain why this project came about, which has generated so many negative reactions. Hopefully, it will fade into oblivion soon.

These are the most poorly reviewed videos I've seen on KZread involving a major artist. I would be interested: is it because people don't like the IDEA of "uninvited guests" or is it because they don't like these particular performances. I'm somewhat new to Mr. Gould's work and actually love the idea of this, but so far haven't enjoyed any of these.

Speaking as a classical music fan, and a long-time fan of Glenn Gould, my issue with this 'project' is that it appears to be trying to capitalize on Glenn Gould's fame, charisma, legacy and musical genius, by cramming it onto some 'crossover' rap album that sounds jarring and totally out of character to anything that Gould would have found interesting, let alone musically worthwhile. I find these pieces ridiculous and frivolous, especially since they want to use Gould's image for....something? I can't figure out what, and I'm very discouraged that these pieces of crap keep being posted on this channel.

Yeah they can do whatever they want, on their *own* channel. Not here. Even if I go on Gould's profile on spotify, this music shows up. He didn't create this so why the hell is it being uploaded in his name.

Uninvited Guests is the brainchild of producer Billy Wild and Primary Wave Music, a music publisher that also owns the rights to much of Gould’s musical archive, owns this ‘official’ Glenn Gould KZread channel, as well as the domain name glenngould dot com. They gave the green light to this project, which I presume they thought might go ‘viral’ for some reason. As you know, it’s done nothing but piss off Gould fans around the world. Hopefully it will fade into oblivion soon. Cheers!
