Gisele Bündchen on modeling, divorce, and her true self

Gisele Bündchen, who has modeled since her teens, has been one of the highest-paid supermodels for more than twenty years. But she says she experienced extreme anxiety because of her lifestyle. The 43-year-old divorced mother of two children from her marriage to NFL superstar Tom Brady has since found peace in making a part-time home in Costa Rica. The self-described introvert talks with correspondent Lee Cowan about healthy living, her new role with Gaia Herbs, and what she most cherishes.

The impact her grandmother had on her is such a huge part of who she is. Regardless of the time that goes by after a loved one passes, the love will never go away. Our memories of them get tucked away in the recesses of our brains, that when we speak of them it brings all that love we have for them rushing back. I could feel her emotion when she got choked up and I couldn't help but tear up myself.

You can't "f that and do what makes me happy" when you chose to have a spouse and/or be a parent. Grow up. You have others to think about and take into consideration at all times when you're married and/or have kids. Goes for both men and women. You're also not Gisele with nannies, a mansion and millions in the bank. Modeling is a job that made her very very very rich. Because of that exposure, she can afford things ane experiences that most people can only fantasize about In these tough, economic times, it would be nice to hear celebrities say how grateful they are for the wealth they accummulated through their high visibility jobs Then maybe it would be easier for us to listen to them share the "real side" that photographers and promoters don't cover.

Its the life you chose Gisele~ at any point in the 20+ years of modeling/ lime light/ glitz & glamour/ millions of dollars, you could have walked away from all of that and worked a 9-5 office job. You chose the former life style and it came with a price. To talk about how bad it was for you is moot.

Since 1999, Gisele Bündchen’s advertising accounts have included a range of the world’s leading fashion, fragrance, and fashion accessory lines, among them: Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Versace, Céline, Givenchy, Bvlgari, Lanvin, Guerlain, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Earl Jean, Zara, Chloé, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret. She is also involved with several Brazilian brands like Vivo, Brazil’s leading mobile company, Multiplan, Colcci and Credicard. Her television commercials for clothier C&A Brazil helped their sales increase by 30 percent. In May 2006, Bündchen signed a multi-million dollar deal with Apple Computer to join their “Get a Mac” advertising campaign to promote Macintosh computers. Another important client had been Victoria’s Secret, where she had modeled for seven years.
