That was My mother’s signature fragrance ( RIP) she was always stopped for the name of her fragrance back in the 80’s . Later was everywhere

How come I never watched this video? Curiously Giorgio is also my mom’s favorite along Chanel N5 and L’Aimant but I wear it too when I need a mood lifter. The flowers are somehow muted on my skin after a while and then a very dark moss dominates the scene. But I still love it. It reminds me of those gorgeous 80’s days when I was a teenager and my grandma took me to her friend’s gatherings and parties and they all were so dressed up with those bright colors and big jewelry. I can hear Miami Sound Machine, Laura Branigan, Madonna, all of them in the background. It’s just closing my eyes and thing of those days full of dreams, fantasies and plans of growing up. Yes, Giorgio makes my heart smile, despite being that soft made in Spain version. I still feel the sun kissed peaches and white flowers dancing with the beach and my Coppertone lotion. Thanks for once again bringing so many adorable memories!

I also have a really lovely story about the perfume. ☺️ After the first lockdown when 🇬🇧 opened up I’d been suffering from migraines/ headaches literally every day. So when they opened up I bought a super cheap ticket to Italy and after some days I was on the plane. I spent almost 2 weeks there and I was super lucky. Managed to see gorgeous places in the North (Lago di Como, Portofino…). I was staying in Genova for a while and went to discover the City. I also needed to buy some makeup remover pads and ended up in a small shop where they had perfumes as well. Didn’t plan to buy anything but I smelled Giorgio BH. I was like OMG 😳. I instantly felt myself back in my childhood (80s) with my Grandma in the hair saloon somewhere in Middle-Eastern Europe. I don’t remember too much but I do remember the smell, the beautiful ladies, the perms, the bleach… my happy time and happy summers at my grandparents 🥰 I checked the price and I was like.. ok, the perfume is not me but I’m gonna buy because of my Granny (btw she is 90 turning 91 this year ;)). Since then I realised that I love it on me. On my skin it’s pretty feminine and powdery. And for some reason I tend to spray it on my hair. 😉

Aww what a wonderful memory Orsi and what a great discovery in Italy. Giorgio is always good energy, good vibes and good memories. Worth every penny and it smells great. On hair it tends to maintain its top notes longer, which is delicious. 💛🌈🌅☀️💖

Had to revisit Pretty Woman after this epic review of Giorgio Beverly Hills. A movie with so many moments that I feel evokes much of the essence of what Dacob is brilliantly portraying to us. Thank you for sharing your experience, history and imagination of this magnificent fragrance!

I just recently got a still beautiful, quarter full, 80's version of this perfume at a thrift shop, for 5 dollars. And....I'm in love. One of my best scores.

Beautiful review. My signature fragrance since 1981. Smelled it on an ad, likely in Cosmo. Ordered it, reordered it and have never been without it. Any other fragrance has had to get along with any lingering Giorgio. I did purchase a vintage bottle that was disappointing, but Giorgio is truly divine. Thank you.

I love it too

I was in high school when my best friend wore that fragrance. It smelled very nice. I remember there were no 3.4 bottles for it. They were smaller and VERY expensive. I think 1oz or so. Don’t know if it was the EDT or EDP version. But as soon as I’d get in her car it would put me in a good mood and I felt like I was enveloped in elegance. And yes it smelled like wealth to me. Unmistakably luxurious. No one else in school would spend the money for it, so it was her signature fragrance by default. Were it not for that, I’d never have even known the fragrance existed.

💛🤍💛🤍 just had to pause for a moment and watch the Beverly Hills Teens intro and reminisce just might watch some Jem episodes later too lol - 85’ baby here and always loved when my Mom wore this, thank you for your awesome content and knowledge!❤️

Love Giorgio! unfortunately I can't wear it because my skin has trouble with oakmoss :( but I hope you continue to review more 80's fragrances. May I suggest the classic Paloma Picasso and Rumba By Ted Lapidus.

Wonderful Memories in a bottle 🥰🥰🥰

Has always been my favourite & always will be. I think it is just the way you describe it (smell-wise - I’m a Colorado ranch girl & the white sunglasses & flowing scarves don’t resonate). But the scents SO perfectly combine…it’s floral (but I hate rose, gardenia, lavender, etc), it’s woody, but not as obvious as patchouli, it’s musky, but not overwhelming. Then, it does does change subtly over time. It’s just really CHEERFUL. It’s as though you’ve walked into the most beautiful oriental garden. Thank you for reviewing it. In England it is getting quite difficult to find. Interesting to learn it is Revlon. It does get a lot of compliments, yes. :-). I wonder if your mom likes Obsession, too. ;-)

A women asked me what I was wearing so still loved x

Beautiful perfume smells like warm skin sunbathing on holiday and smells like holiday when your getting ready for the evening I love it x

ok so I have found two bottles--got the first (made in France) vintage 80s out of box, which is wonderful and only cost about 18 usd...and now have a made in USA new in box for about 15. I am really looking forward to comparing the two. I always remember thinking of Giorgio as a super sweet explosive perfume, not for me. But now that I'm older, I truly love it! It's probably nostalgia...hehe..but also it does have so much joy in its story. I am trying out soooo many perfumes now. What FUN. Thank you Dacob, for introducing me to the stories of so many scents. I am hooked.

The Spanish version is not so bad either but anyway it's a parfum for warm sunny summer days. It opens its best sides only in very warm climate.

When my mom worked as a hair stylist instructor she’d wear this, and even in the salon with perm and color chemical scents going on I could still smell her perfume, which made it seem perfect for the profession. So I associate this scent with her, she hasn’t worn it in years, but I can still imagine the scent in my memory, and I’ve contemplated buying it when I’ve seen it at the discount shops, which I probably will.

Could you consider a video “what perfumes haunted STUDIO 54” I’m thinking paco rabanne la nuit hands down lol If fashion and style have a niche for poetry it is certainly best curated and told masterfully by you - you have such an art for words and storytelling. I would have made straight A’s in all my college classes if you were my professor 👨‍🏫 front and center eyes and ears glued!!! I literally count down the minutes to all your Halloween and october perfume videos 😊

Oh l would looooove Red by GBH review❤❤❤❤ by you ! I was 20 when it was lunched and l used to rock it, along with beast mode fragrance such as Clandestine, Caṣmir, Dolce red cup etc. The nineties where truly The decade of amazing perfumes !

The only reason I don't "like" it and can't wear it is an allergy to tuberose/gardenia/orangeblossom but I LOVE that smell that reminds me my early teens in the 80es... Back in these good old days Giorgio was very expensive and did worth every cent because of the BOMB it was. The Eighties at their best. Really enjoyed your review of Giorgio. And my best Youth Dew experiences were also Made in the US, the Blue bottle.

Thank you for your review.. I learned a ton.. Totally appreciate your careful in depth articulation.. Yeah 1985 my girlfriend came by with some on and i had never smelled anything like that before.. Never has a fragrance ever captivated me like Giorgio.. I am collecting them now here and there.. Hey i had a question..if you have a second.. I came across a vintage bottle and was wondering If the bottom of the bottle says; "Extraordinary spray cologne" "Giorgio Perfume" Does it mean its the good stuff Its a darker color almost like the red. Is that gonna be the good stuff do you know.. Thank you if you have the time to answer.. I have been looking for the answer on line but have not had luck yet

Divine, Norma Desmond and Black Dalia. All of them could wear Giorgio Beverly Hills.

I'm not even sure if this is possible but looking it up today I found a Giorgio Beverly Hills beach bag is called Forever Summer and I somehow got it for $3 but anyways I feel like it still smells like perfume inside then again I've never smelled the perfume before so maybe it's just my imagination but hearing you talk about it and smelling my bag at least there's might be a good hint of what you're describing and i really love it❤😂

This, Eternity and Cher’s Uninhibited were my favorite smells. All three different nose varietal but so unique. Unlike the too powdery, floral of perfumes today lacking distinct personalities.

the nose behind Giorgio Beverly Hills is not Bob Aliano. the perfumers behind Giorgio Beverly Hills are Francis Camail, and Harry Cutler. the original bottle of giorgio that first launched in 1981 has the word "Giorgio" along with 2 rings printed in black on the cap.

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 i was watching Michael Edwards interview on youtube, and he was talking about his new coffee table book "American Legends", and he mentioned about Giorgio and he said that the noses were Francis Camail, and Harry Cutler and not Bob Aliano.

Niche is such a joke now - dare I say even Chanel new version 2020 and on 3 hours max it’s been formulated and bastardized to a faint memory of the golden ages of perfumery aka anything before 1999

I purchased the giorgio parfum in 1986, that used the top as the dapper on my skin. I've never purchased the spray, I want the original. Can I find this and purchase this? I loved watching your Utube - you are amazing, sexy and actually the product sales itself you are the frosting! Thank you and how can I find the original parfum, not spray, the fragrance is , I'm not sure their are words for this fragrance. It is sensual, all consuming to the senses.

There's something in the made-in-Spain bottle that's off and I never remember Giorgio being like that so I got myself a made-in-USA bottle of Giorgio last week which should be arriving tomorrow. I'll be on the lookout for the made-in-Paris bottle as well. It couldn't have been a more perfect time for me to rewatch this. Fabulous video Dacob xx

Just got a new bottle of Giorgio . I can't really smell it. My old bottle was so strong. Remember that commercial for Primo. If you like Giorgio you will love Primo? Well I like Primo better now !!!
