I will also add that everyone MUST watch the live Grammys performance. One of the best Grammys performances ever. She brought the house down. I watched it live on TV and I was not aware of Brandi or her music. I was stunned. I became a fan immediately. She is just incredible.

Brandi is the Queen of Americana music and just over the past 5 or so years getting the recognition she deserves.

Brandi is the only singer I’ve ever heard who can make her voice crack on purpose. She’s brilliant.

I love watching Brandi reaction videos. This one is great! If you’ve followed Brandi Carlile - the band, mind you, is also called Brandi Carlile, and she is most often flanked by the Hanseroths. The three of them together is magic. Their song writing, incredible voices and talent as musicians. Watch more. Lots more. Songs Phil and Tim have written, songs she wrote for her wife and daughters. And watch her interviewed some time. She is smart and wise like you won’t believe. And funny! Def watch the Grammy performance. Same song, but fans of theirs know just how big this was for them. Huge. And how nervous she was! Adorable. Love her. Becoming a Brandi Carlile will bring something special to your life. I guarantee it.

I shared the video because of the powerful visuals. I have seen her live and she rocks! I've also seen the Grammy performance of this song and Broken Horses. I am sharing her music with as many people as I can because I think she is very underrated. I love when people are as struck by her voice as I am.

I just watched the Joni Mitchell Newport Festival concert with Brandi and it brought me to tears.

Great reaction, GINX. This is one of my absolute favourite songs; thank you, Gwen, for requesting it. As far as the mix goes, I think her voice sits smack in the sweet spot 🙂 With her voice any higher in the mix, I think it would have been too piercing, but that's just me😉 Love from Norway 🇸🇯❤️🇺🇸

I enjoyed so much your reaction. So many reactors look at the lyrics as more of a structure to hang music on rather than a passion amplified by the music. I believe you would appreciate the videos of Shoshana Bean singing "She Used to be Mine" from "Waitress". The writer of that score is a singer/songwriter Sarah Bareilles who has written magnificent songs. Her song "Brave" would be a great introduction.

She used to be mine is a brilliant song. I have sent it, to female friends having a tough time of it and it always lifts them up.

One can bring on any scale-squaking R'n'B songstress one might like. Brandi is better than the lot of them...
