I’m a black guy, and I get criticized for liking this group. Family and friends say that it is “white folks music”. Honestly, I don’t give a damn what they say. I love this group! @@mizzoupatriot8814 - Oh! Great! The song that did it for me was PHOTOGRAPH!!! When I heard it, back in the 80’s, I was hooked! I became their biggest fan and still am to this day. What a great band! Def Leppard also showed real friendship. Remember, when Rick Allen lost his arm? They didn’t replace him. He got a new drum system and kept it going. He is a friend and part of a family. I just adore Def Leppard. They are indeed my all time favorite band. There are many good bands but, for me, they rise to the top. They have aged, but they still rock! I always look forward to new material. None yet and next year, they go on another huge tour. Like the rest, but love the best and that is- Def Leppard! Peace.

@@jasontibbetts2852 Well, melody, harmony, skillful instruments (or at least the sound of organic musicians),genuine emotion and a great tuneful hook were big in the 60's-90's. It's pretty fair to say that very good rock/indie music exists today, but is more fringe and not exactly on the top of the charts. In fact, the past 10 years (or more) on the charts, feature mostly tuneless, unmelodic, hyper-processed, digitized, meaningless, unemotional ''products'', written by 20 ''songwriters'' and produced by just as many (give or take). There's a few examples of rare songwriting prowess on the charts (Taylor Swift can write some strong tunes), but melody isn't emphasised anymore, nor is authentic musicianship. And today's artists steal the once innovative stylings from the 60's-90's without contributing anything. Plenty of really good music outside of the mainstream, but the last great songwriters/bands are largely absent, mostly because of declining artistic/musical standards, and a ''dumber'' society.

Too bad Doug Hopkins didn't even make it to the mid-90's. What a shame! I loved their music. I remember when our favorite song was "29", for obvious reasons at the time. So much potential lost.

This song is gorgeous. I have such a soft spot in my heart for great melodies, smooth vocals, and fuzzy guitars. It takes me back to a time and place I can't return to.

Was one of my favorite songs in highschool......I picked up my 2 year old from daycare today, as this is her first day of daycare and her first time being away from her mother and me. As I was watching her play before I got out the car....this song came on, so I decided to live out my highschool days for a few minutes, and ended up recording my daughter running and playing, she fell but got up and dusted herself off. Brought a tear to my eye.

This is the quintessential perfect 90's pop/ rock song. Those hooks really get stuck in your head.

Anyone who cites the vocals is absolutely correct. I grew up in the 70's, rarely has a rock band had a better lead vocalist. Everything about the band is uber musical, the tremendous melody, the instrumentation. First time I heard the Gin Blossoms it was like going back to the halcyon days of something like the Beatles. Its definitely MUSIC.

I am 48 now, this was a song from my glory days. I was trying to explain to my 10 year old what music was like from the 90's and showed her this. I have probably added 10 plays on the watch count. Such a great band from a great time in life.

Ahhh those were the days. Gin Blossoms were all over the radio. So were Counting Crows, Green Day, Chris Issak, REM, to name a few. The 90s may have been one of the best decades for music. Along with the 60s, of course.

In the mid 90's I was 35 years old... and this song still reminds me as if I was still 18... Thanks Gin !!!

R&B is my first love. But when I was in High School I listened to bands like this. I always loved this song. And it reminds me of my carefree teenage days.

I remembered as a kid in the late 90's.someone left a CD of their greatest hits in our home and I don't know who owned it until now. Those were the time that bubblegum pop and boybands and girlbands are so popular. When I played it I fell in love with their songs especially this one. ❤️. I still listen to different music but this band has a very special place in my heart.

The 90s is America at its best !

This song has been in my head since the 90's. It is still there. Probably one of the best rock songs ever. I cry when I hear it. It talks about hope and people thinking about each other, but ultimately the singer needs to hear from his girl whether she accepts him. Best song ever

Can't get over how good this song is, man. Saw them do it note-for-note perfect in 2018 on their tour with Tonic. What a show!

That's a great compliment considering those two that started the band didn't even know how to play their instruments. That came after the decision to become a band.

I was born on 1995. So I’m 22 right now, and I love 90’s music. Just something about 90’s fascinates me. Sometimes I wish I was born on the 80’s lol.

The sound of Gin Blossoms ,help me to move on when me & my girlfriend broke up ..I will never forget their music ,nice to hear ,the arrangements of their is unique..

It’s true the 90’s is the last great decade. Never knew it then but looking back now and it definitely was unforgettable. Before the world changed and basically a time before things all went to ****! I love using KZread to take me back and remind me and help me find all those good songs from those great times it’s a wormhole I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get out nor want to, it’s just hit after hit from back then. And music meant so much to me then as it does now… if not more.

I love the lead's voice. A band that brought the full package!!

When they started, Jesse Valenzuela was the singer. Band didn't get popular until they put Robin Wilson up front.

I agree with this sentiment. They didn't invent this 90's sound, but they certainly codified it. Remember when MTV used to actually play music?

The 90s!! What an era. So many great memories. My 9 year old loves a lot of music that I play from the 90s. I tell him he missed his era. He would have loved it. What a time!! Fantastic song!

The intro to this song is straight nostalgia. It always takes me right back to being a kid.

Hearing this song makes me travel back in time..until now I still want to listen to this song over and over

Ten months into 2020 and I still can't believe 1990 was 30 years ago. I was 18-29 during the 90s that covered my college, young adult and newlywed years.

I miss being a long haired careless teenager of the 90s more than anything. i'd sell my soul to do it all again. jesus...

You can still find good music these days but start at top 150 downwards. Top 50 is all "Nigga, nigga, nigga, nigga......" You can't even find GOOD RAP in the top 50!!

I just saw Gin Blossoms play at Fremont Street in Las Vegas. It was so good.

I'm from the Philippines and Gin blossoms are one of the most popular band here in my country...#gin blossom lover

In the 70"s I used take my guitar,to the miinder binders,and the up stairs pub in Tempe acked like a student just to drink under age,I was only playing three cords with a turn around. It worked,I love rock,and music!

Totally agree,this intro and well the whole song is so underrated and I don't even know why, but this song should be on the top 10 or 5 of the best guitar intros solos and outros,cause even the little outro sound awesomely nostalgic and gives the song a sort of bittersweet fadeaway

When it was new someone at Rolling Stone called it "The Almost Perfect Pop Song".

For me this song starts at 2 minutes and 50 seconds in, those harmonies are beautiful and that lead at the end it's perfect I can listen to that over and over and over for several hours

It's good to go back to the 90's. I hope there are still music like this. But what happened to music in today's generation???

This takes me way back when the telephone was an option to talk to someone. Chatting with friends face to face and listening to the same music together was so fun. I remember calling the radio station requesting songs like these. It felt like heaven when my song was next. I only listen to songs now from the early 1900s to the 90s and maybe 2000s but it depends. I do appreciate indie artists today. I avoid the mainstream ones that do not make any sense. I thought songs are supposed to help us and not make us feel worse. It all got ruined after bubble pop music started popping up. oh well.

I'm still listening to Gin Blossoms in 2019!!!

I love the snare roll in the bridge. Sure, I have nostalgia for _some_ of the 90s, but they weren't exactly sunshine and daisies. We understand so much more about ourselves and about the world now. Way better to be in a same-sex relationship now, for example.

Amazing vocals as said, but THIS was a great decade for REAL music. Love their harmonies and instrumentals. Very talented men.

I'm 35, and I still listen to these guys constantly. Easily my favorite band from the 90s. I'm not so much into alternative stuff anymore, but there's just something about the Gin Blossoms that hits me right in the feels.
