Hi Nomad! Great video again! Question; will you make an updated version of this video because of the launch of MW3? I’m using the M32U as well.

Is the sRGB mode on this monitor greyed out? Or can you adjust the contrast?

On picture while using fps mode what is your brightness locked to as i can adjust mine and default is 90. My M32U is very new and came with latest F11 firmware.

I know it has been almost a year since this vid but have you run into problems with using say a Razer headset where you move up and down a sound and then your monitor goes on and off even if your not using HDR because it does that only when adjusting the sound. It is quite anoying I have the same exact monitor and not sure why it does this.

Great video. I’m getting my M32U later today and would hate to fumble around with this stuff

I keep messing around with HDR on and off and I find the best picture to be HDR on and when calibrating on PS5 I go 1 -2 clicks past the visual of the icon you are supposed to barely see. The picture is less washed out and not so much a white/grey screen when its supposed to be black and better colors.

Tbh I have never updated the firmware, I don’t experience any lag at all. If you do then I suggest an update.

Very good material with these settings. I'm currently playing Horizon Forbidden West on PS5, and the image is displayed on the Gigabyte M32U monitor. Could you advise me how to best set HDR on the console and game so as not to have too warm colors? What I mean is that with HDR turned on, Aloy's face looks too pink, the same with the faces of other characters, while the sun is shining brightly in the game. Appreciate that! With HDR I never switch it on when gaming because it’s only HDR 400 which makes the colours look dark. Turning it off makes the image look better! I would only switch on HDR if it 1000 nits or more. Hope that helps.

@@NomadFlair You know, for me Horizon Forbidden West with HDR turned on looks good on this monitor. I reduced the HDR brightness in the monitor and the shades of pink in full sun in the game are already smaller. Thanks for the answer. Best regards.

If you you want to change brightness you have to disable local dimming temporarily set it brightness to desired number then enable local dimming again

So im using this monitor on ps5, everything seems fine so far. Only had one issue. When im starting an application, let's say MW2, the screen goes black very briefly. When i close application, again it'll do this briefly until im back on the main screen. Any suggestions? Im using the HDMI that came with the PS5 but not too sure if it's a common thing with the monitor or a setting on the PS5

This is because it’s switching between 60hz in the menues and 120 fps/HDR when launching a game.

I have the m28u AE, it does that for me too. when i switch to another game or start one, it does the same thing. i hope it’s normal 😅 however i use another 2.1 hdmi device

Hey everyone. I think I have the solution to a problem that many of you have noted. My "Picture" setting options didn't show the following options: Standard, FPS, RTS/RPG, Movie, Reader, or sRGB. It was only showing "Custom 2" and "ECO". You just have to scroll up. For some reason, list was defaulting to the bottom out of the box.

It's meant to be off - only enabled if connected to a gaming PC.

I am having issues getting 120hz for some reason. Everything is set to performance mode on my PS5 and in-game settings, but it still displays 60fps. Do you have a solution for this?

I figured it out. By default, the HDMI setting is set to 2.0. Go in and switch that to 2.1 and it will switch over to 120FPS@@thenoobdevil7177

Hi, I have also had the M32U since yesterday and I have to say that I am very satisfied with the monitor also on the PS5... To your question, I hope I can help you with that. So the menu always runs on 60FPS and with the current games that run on 120FPS must also be changed in the menu in the game under graphics settings... The current title I play is MW3 and it runs on 120FPS so you can test it. In the menu of the monitor you go under Game Assist then Game Info there under Refresh Rate you can display FPS...

Enable 120hz in system settings, then go to the in-game settings menu and enable 120hz and see if that fixes it

@@FreakyFred I figured out what it was on my end. On my ps5 settings, I needed to change output settings. We can’t edit the picture quality with HDR on. It needs to be off. Omg. Soooo much better. I can’t believe I was playing resurgence in the night 😂

@@Doriginal5 basically when i connect it to a pc using the DP cable i am able to see the options but connecting it to the ps5 i dont see all of them, i also had a problem with the refresh rate which was not going above 60 but this was due to game settings and it worked after changing the graphics settings in the game, but all these FPS settings are still greyed out for me when connected to ps5

why deactive hdr in ps5
