Just a quick video explanation of how I rewired the 3-way switch in my Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50's guitar to see the specs of a real Gibson Les Paul Reissue. I found some cool stuff other people where doing and wanted to share it. Please LIKE - SUBSCRIBE & BELL IT YO!

You might as well take this video down there is no way anyone can see the connections and their order at that distance.

Too bad you didn't take the time to explain the single tab on the other side is the "hot" feed connector that gets it's power from the "hot" jack connector. So, the single tab on one side of the switch is the "hot feed" that comes from the "hot" jack connector, and on the side of the switch with the 3 tabs, the two outside ones are the hot wires that go to the Neck or Bridge pots, and the middle tab is the ground that goes to one of the pot casings.

I've got an Epiphone Les Paul Custom with 3 pickups, with a bad selector switch. I watched another video where the metal plates were bent back to make contact with the toggle. It was a short term fix. I'm going to attempt that. I took the cover off of the back of the guitar to access the selector switch, and the wiring going to it has virtually no slack. I can't get the switch out without using a soldering iron to melt the solder to disconnect the wires. Do you have any advice as how to proceed.

Hey Steve, Thanks for question….I feel like you might be heading in the right direction. The only other thing you might try is…if you do not plan on saving the switch maybe try a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully bend the tabs away from the body of the guitar enough to wiggle the switch out of the hole. If you do not have enough slack you will have to un solder the wires perhaps back by the pot then snake the wires back through to pull the switch out. Then I would get longer leads so you do not have to ever go through this again. Best of luck. Thank you for watching!! ~cheers John
