GIANTS ON THE MOVE - Transport Professionals in Action | Full Documentary
Ғылым және технология
How does a 140-ton, 40-meter-long mine milling machine get from its manufacturer to the harbor? The perfect solution for this is a truck crane. But heavy loads like this one are extremely precise: every narrow curve becomes a problem, every road sign has to give way. This documentary shows truck crane teams doing their difficult jobs on Germany's narrow streets and construction sites. What difficulties do the transport professionals expect?

14:38 the narator said it wrong about the 40 ton load, it's the boom length at 40 meters, at that state the crane according to the computer display can only lift 29 tons of load at 14.3 meter radius, and that size of load doesn't reach 40 tons, it's only approximately 20 tons.
@garencrownguard8258

The exaggerated narration made it look like machine is as big as the city of London on Mortal engines movie. The truth is the size of the machine is very normal of its kind.. Ang tagal pa nitong video nato. Eh angliit lang naman pala nung crane. ... 😂 Walang-wala pa sa mga ginagawa ng Liebherr.

It doesn't have any ballast with him so he is as light as he can get, in Germany there are a lot of laws who prevent to high loads. The roads just can't handel more. Its a old road system so its not made for high loads
Why didn’t the advance man know ahead of time all the problematic points? It’s not like this is the first piece of equipment that they have sent to the port.
33:40 Could it be possible, to move cran to the side, by using of side hydraulic legs? Lift the cran, and simultaneously pull the 2 legs on one side, and push 2 on other? Could be faster, at least theoretically.

@konstantinhuwa3064

@@cheesebusiness Yeah, its understandable, that standard equipment probably could not support such feature. The pregoing comment is written, only to share the idea. In the hope, that key peoples will see this problem, will influence, and mobile cranes will have such feature in the future, and driver will not have problems and swear on tight construction sites, easy moving his crane sideways, through hydraulic legs. My first education was also mobile crane driver, and i also had similar situations, thats why i understand Andy very well.
No professional loads metal to metal on a barge..... The craft has rubber mats and timber load spreaders to stop any slide, also the deck must be specifically rated to take the deadweight of the load in such a small space.

Translated speech always takes away from a film/show/etc (at least it does for me). No matter what, a translator can't give the same inflection, impact; they can't relay or pass on the passion of the original speakers words. It's just..... It's like a deaf person has to read a script to an illiterate person to prepare them for a role in a play. It's just, off I guess. It takes me out of the in depth world that the show works VERY hard to immerse the viewer in (as if you are there), it's like a constant reminder that "yup, you are just watching KZread".
Entire video is unwatchable. You would think you would have discovered image stabilization and bought a damn GIMBAL for the camera. My God it's like riding on a ferry boat.
Log out of camera angles make it look worse than it is in the dramatization was getting to me I mean give me a break a crane bending like that at 10T that's 21,00 0ounds. Doctrine of the lifting capacity of around 750T. 10T lifting a piece of receipt paper. And stopping for 10 minutes to move objects that are in the way out of the way give me a break you're not going to be stuck behind schedule like that they allow well over an hour for little things like that these people aren't stupid but the narrator certainly tries to act like we as the viewers are stupid
