I lived in some pretty old rentals in Dunedin but I kept mine immaculate. Some were filthy when I moved in but I soon brought them up to scratch. There is no excuse for living in filth.

@@BeyondTheMind007 I've had landlords who wouldn't fix anything, so I had to. When I couldn't live with mouldy wallpaper I ripped it all off, treated the walls with an anti mould spray, then bought discount anti mould wallpaper and a friend of mine who was an expert wallpaper put it up for me at a nominal price and I provided him with meals. He also painted the ceilings and did a fantastic job. The place was transformed. New curtains and fancy light fittings and lamps, rugs and pictures made all the difference. I had beautiful inherited antique furniture and I decorated to match the colours.

God the parties I went to at the Hilton. They didn't show it, but there was an entire section underneath the house you could get to that people would host raves in. Stupid, stupid stuff. But what a time.

I used to live in the complex behind them. Became friends with them in 2012. That basement behind the fake wardrobe doors in the downstairs room was used for copious amounts of sessions with the Devil's Lettuce. What a time indeed.
