A friend of mine was in Brazil this world cup and bought me a shirt and I decided to get USA away shirt because I really liked it. I also really like the Croatian home shirt though, I must admit.

I will always remember this game, specifically Dempsey's goal. I was 10 years old and was at a bar with my dad, and my friend and his dad. I remember the ball being played to Dempsey, and he jumps over it and gets it under control. He shoots and it goes in off of the far post, and the whole place goes ballistic. I think about this moment all the time, it's such an amazing memory

Man, this reminds me of how Pulisic didn’t pull this off against the Netherlands.

I remember watching this then. I’m Ethiopian and I supported Ghana at that match but Brooks goal made me happy because of the emotion he showed. Donovan goal against Algeria in 2010 was also very special.

That Ghanaian side was pretty scary. They had a lot of talent and individual players capable of moments of brilliance. Their midfield was much stronger than the US and I remember it like it was yesterday. Great game overall.

Yeah, I think Howard would have saved it if he had done the 'usual' shot to the far corner. Great choice to hit with the outside of the foot near-post.

Any other Americans love our mini rivalry with Ghana? I hope both teams get back to their best soon!

This was the first World Cup I watched as a football fan, I'm so happy my country at least made the knockout round, and we even played very well against Portugal, Germany, and even Belgium (Tim Howard is the GOAT)

What I love about the World Cup is is creates rivalries like USA/Ghana, but in the end I feel like as long as both teams play fair both countries gain more respect for each other! Ghana you are incredible team! Can’t wait to play again in 2022!

This was my first World Cup and first time witnessing the U.S. play in it. When Dempsey scored in the opening minutes I screamed and got up off the ground and cheered like I scored the goal. My mom told me to stop acting so crazy and I don’t need to scream like that. Then when Brooks scored to break the tie, my mom was cheering too 😏 The 2014 World Cup inspired me to play soccer, joining the High School team that fall. Forever a soccer fan, but it is called Football

USA, Germany, Ghana and Portugal and USA actually won the group! I hope we qualify for 2022. Ghana has the dopest kits of all time

That's what soccer is about, it's one sport that brings out the patriotism like no other sport . It makes u scream ,curse , jump all the emotions put together . Soccer can be boring in one instance alone, when u are not emotionally attached to any of the teams. But when ur country is playing, it means everything. One game can have so many stories in it , the common eye can not understand, it's like watching chess or a tactical war . Most American sports are about constant buttering ,but soccer is different , it's a patient sport ,seen your team defend a one zero lead can put u on the edge of ur seat . I am not American but I route for the USMNt team , because I see them as underdogs, in sports I naturally route for underdogs . But I don't route for the USWNT because they are not underdogs, strange .

I haven't seen anything more outrageous on pitch than John Brooks. I remember him getting smoked in Costa Rica by Campbell inna 4v0 loss. Yet he's got a Goal on FWC finals

Love USMNT. Real excited watching this game! Later became a Swansea City fan while watching EPL and then seeing them play in the UK and also in friendlies in the US. Now I like watching Andre Ayew score this goal for Ghana. Had no idea who he was. Now he is my favorite Swans player.

As a guy from ghanian decent this game hurt my heart but is the eariest world cup memory i have of ghana and watched all our games, this was truly astonishing to watch

Revenge is a dish best served cold. I hope both countries can meet again for another stellar rivalry match.

I was so happy when Dempsey scored the first minute. It was so gangster too quickly dribbling past the young Ghana player who probably still had butterflies in his stomach starting his first world cup game...then putting it past the goalie. How I miss Dempsey when he was young and dangerous

One of the, if not THE, best CONCACAF performance in a World Cup! Costa Rica, Mexico and the USA got out of the group stage.

Say what you want about Klinsman, the team actually attacked and played confidently when he was the coach. Now they play on the back heel almost all the time and are depressing to watch.

Ghana Portugal Germany If you couldn't get excited in the days leading up to that World Cup, you're not a soccer fan. To kick off against a team that is now considered a rival and who eliminated us in 2010, then to go up against the legend Chrstiano, and to finish it off with the best team in the world, a team our coach played for and managed.....and we actually got out of the group!

The biggest let down of this world Cup was the absence of Landon Donovan. What a shame

What a rollercoaster of a game... The Dempsey goal in the beginning - totally pumped! Altidore pulls up lame - heartbreaking! Ghana ties it with about 10 min left - totally deflated! Zusi’s corner off Brooks’s head - pure elation!
