    That is a beautiful guitar you have made right there. The finish on camera is sensational. I have learned something - there are no short cuts to obtaining a super-gloss finish. You have to have the right products for the finish, the right equipment for spaying and the patience and determination to prepare properly and put in the hard work of sanding, sanding, sanding and more sanding. Great guitar, great finish, great video.

    Wow! This is one of the most beautiful custom guitars I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing the entire process! I just bought a CNC and am new at it, so I hope to one day get as skilled to make my own guitars. Your videos will definitely be on playback during my journey!

    I am firmly of the opinion that you, Shock the fox and Uniquedor make the most beautiful guitars! That instrument was beautiful before you put finish on it, then you just made it even more beautiful!!!!!

    Nice man! Great color contrasts on the wood selection! . Super jealous of that devilbiss too! Can’t wait to get my hands on a high end gun and see the dif it makes. Btw your flow coats shouldn’t be producing any orange peel. Especially if the surface underneath is already flat. They should come out having an ultra wet smooth look to them. You may try more reducer, And higher psi in your gun. Although if you intend to level sand and buff it out anyway, it’s not a big deal.

    Thanks for the tip Uriel. I will try that. I am close to no orange peal but I still haven’t figured out how to eliminate it all together.

    WOW!! Dave that grain just popped like crazy under the clear. What an absolute beauty! I'm building a semi permanent spray both in my tiny shop. Didn't get any video of the process. I also use the Easy Sanding Sealer. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the best and or the most efficient way to fill grain. I know it's the most expensive way.

    Thanks Dane. I’ve tried some others but I really like the results with simtec. I tried the aqua cote a while ago, it was really easy but it muted the colors of the wood. If you find something better let me know

    I am generally not a fan of high gloss finish on un-painted/stained wood. But this is amazing! Very nice. Did you consider using magnets to retain the cavity covers? Cheers and Well done.

  • @eworcustomguitars

    Yes I sometimes do use magnets but these two covers are only .162” thick so that is not really thick enough for my magnets.

    Excellent guitar sir. I like how you showed the ratios of topcoat products (8:4:1 ?) Question, When doing sealers and topcoats, do you keep the mixture in the cup or are you mixing just enough for each round? Also, are you cleaning the gun between each step? I love how the grain came alive at the first sealer coat. Gorgeous.

  • @eworcustomguitars

    @eworcustomguitars

    I usually just mix enough for each round and I also completely disassemble and clean the gun each time
