Music was for parades in towns or in camp for entertainment

How far can the civil war drums be heard. ? On any given direction? Were the drums used for battle strategy?

Drums/bugle calls were used for directing how regiment was to follow commands from c.o. like charge, retreat

There is also a shrine to St Elizabeth Anne Seaton in Emmitsburg MD. It's about a 20 minute drive south of Gettysburg on US 15 South

🙏✝️I know that there is a Civil reenact brass band? I have seen it on KZread sometime ago.. why is there not one here at Gettysburg??

There is but I'm not sure if they participate in the parade or not. Usually they play in front of the Dobbin House

6.5 ft tall 6ft wide for the flags unfurled. Color bearing held colors till being kia/wia
