    Do you have to stand upright between Burpees? I've seen athletes told off for not, yet Hunter doesn't!

    No, you don't need to stand upright. You actually lose time if you do that. These are the rules: 8.4 Burpee Broad Jump Once the hands are placed on the ground they cannot be moved forward. In the lower position, the athlete's chest must touch the ground. Then, the athlete stands up and jumps forward, jumping and landing with both feet simultaneously. But i guess the movement standards could be more clear, because you see so many (questionable) variations.
