What if you have just over seeded and you can’t go on the lawn to treat it? Plus some of these products are not suitable for newly grown grass. What do you do? Wait for a few weeks then tackle all the weeds via a blanket spread approach? Any advice will help, thanks Polo.

Hello, if you have just overseeded, the "NEWLY SEEDED GRASS" needs to get mowed at least twice before you can apply herbicides. As far as blanket spraying, it all depends on your weed pressure on your lawn. If there are a lot of weeds, then a blanket spraying is needed. If only a few weeds, spot spraying should be your option.

@@PoloFieldsLawnService haven’t used anything yet as I fear it’s too early to walk on the grass. The weeds I’m seeing are dandelions and bristly oxtongue I’m in 🇬🇧 so you might call the bristly oxtongue something else. Some of them have towered as high as about a foot high. I plan to uproot by hand the big and obvious ones, blanket spray then seed the patchy spots.

I love in southeast Michigan, we are in a drought. Can I still put down Weed& Feed, no rain until next weekend? Or can I pull them?

Now, if you're watering your lawn, I would put it down, but if you're not watering, I would just pull them. The reason why I say that is because if you're in a drought and your grass is either brown or not growing, there is no need to push your lawn to grow. But if it's still growing because you're giving it some water, I would say go ahead and apply it. Just make sure that you don't apply too much because those weed and feeds are normally high in nitrogen. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

I live in New York and the weed grew I didn’t get the chance to put down my pre-emergent cause the weather was too cold. Do I have to skip the pre-emergent and go straight to the post emergent instead.

Hello Dwayne, do both. Where you live, it's still not too late to apply your pre emergent. Apply your pre and post at the same time.

How soon can I spray my post emergent after my pre emergent has been laid? Should I space them out or just eyeball the weeds and attack? Thanks for allllllll that you do!!

Hello M Branche, you can apply them both at the same time if you see weeds present in your lawn now or you can apply your Pre-emergent, wait until you see some weeds, and then spray them. Just get to your weeds BEFORE they start seeding
