No luck for Belgium. Really good team for Belgium in 1990 and 1994, but lost against England and Germany. Sad for them, they deserved to go to quarter finals at that time.

Good Belgium side, they still had a few players from the team that finished 4th in the 86 WC like Scifo, Grun and Van der Elst. But on this day Germany the defending World Cup winners were at their best, Rudy Voller and Klingsmam were top strikers. Regardless of the shocking decision not award Belgium a penalty @ 6:42!

With all due respect to your opinion, it has been nearly 30 years since Michel Bardom was chosen as the best goalkeeper in the 94th World Cup, despite conceding 5 goals in 4 matches played by Belgium in the 94th World Cup. In my opinion, Bardom was chosen as the best goalkeeper to appease the Belgians for the injustice of their exit against Germany to allow Germany to continue with the cup.

Thanks for these uploads, though I think the editing was a bit too tight on the goals, at least one of them had a rather nice build up. That said, it's not a short video and I appreciate that you are trying to include all the action of the game. @5:47, what a goal that would have been! Nice combination play and a good shot by Voller. That would have been his hat trick, and one of the goals of the tournament.

Germany had such a big team in this World Cup with many legendary players. I'm surprised they didn't become world champions. I think it was because there was a lot of anger in the team.

@6:41 No penalty! The ball was knocked forward by Weber's leg as he was brought down, but did the referee mistakenly think the defender had reached the ball? I had forgotten about this moment in the game. I remember Albert's well taken goal though, he became a bit of a playground football name for a short while after the world cup. I think he went to Newcastle United.

That ref got sent home after that decision if I remember correctly. It was a disgrace, among many terrible decisions in that world cup. Zolas red card for example.

Did Grun score for Belgium off the free kick from that bad German tackle/challenge? Would be interesting if that obviously deliberate cleating led to Belgium’s goal. Did the German player get a yellow card?

In terms of the game, Belgium was no worse than Germany and had many opportunities to equalize. But stupid mistakes in defense ruined everything.

Maybe the Belgians should have had a penalty, but in all fairness the game could easily have gone 5-2 or more. It was a competitive game only because the German defense was so weak in that WC

If this Belgium team has De Bruyne in it, maybe the game will end in a draw😂😂😂😂

Vogts played Wagner instead of Ziege? Then he didn't have Möller in the squad?

@@mikeberger4199 He didn't play though. He was not only supposed to be Germany's top player, he was supposed to be the star of this World Cup. He did very well at club level, wich shows me that this coach didn't know how to handle him.

@@PolarbearKA ⚽️ Stimme dir zu 100% zu! Das Problem dabei ist aber: Uns unterscheidet nichts mehr von anderen Fussballnationen! Der Wiedererkennungswert fehlt und dadurch auch unsere typisch deutschen Tugenden, die uns über Jahrzehnte stark gemacht haben!
