They luckily reached the quarter finals. They didn't deserve to reach even the 2nd round at that tournament.

Actually, Germany would have proceeded to the final with any other team than Croatia in the quarter finals. There will never be a team as with Klinsmann and Matthäus.

That's the way the Germans use to play, you can play all over them and they would still beat you, they were the onky team that woukd have beaten France in that tournament but the ref gave worns a red card against Croatia and that was the end.
