It is as if all have no real idea of the sacrifices of those brave persons who died. Were the students shown photos or films of the thousands upon thousands of headstone, crosses, Stars of David, etc. in many, many cemeteries in Europe? Very moving, which could not be said of the performance in my opinion.

Competent playing and singing, but, to me, flat and without the emotion that should be expressed.

I agree, speaking for myself it was my first or second year ever in a choir so I had a lack of experience and this piece didn't excite me too much back then. I should note that no one performing here is an actual performing arts student, these are pretty much all engineers/scientists with little performing experience. Thanks for watching and commenting!
