Insane performances!
George is the every man’s man. Strait badass riffs no fluff just dirt
My man Elvin Bishop on the guitar
So privileged to have seen them back in the eighties when they toured way down here in Australia. A true rock 'n blues band.
My pops is buddies with Mr.Thorogood….got stoned a few times with him and jammed a bit. Great dude. Destroyers are a legendary band
If you've not watched Elvin Bishop Band doing Fooled Around and Fell in Love. Mikey Thomas on vocals from Starship. Check it out.
George grew up in my home state...do nothing Delaware!! A state you can drive thru in 2 hours!! A local hero his band used to be called the Delaware Destroyers, but fame dropped the Delaware. He's a good time bar band and probably a great guy.
Definitely worth diving into lots of good drinking songs 💯
Ok Bro! You asked for it. George Thorogood is outstanding. I have 18 of his albums. Most of the songs are covers of the greatest African American Blues artists of all time. Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters and BB King. just to name a few. He takes those songs and a bad ass slide guitar and wicked ass sax to almost all the songs. He takes some old obscure blues songs from the 40’s, 50,s put them on steroids. He has turned me onto the great blues artists that I never ever heard. By covering their old songs. I can list you at least 80 songs that are all bad ass songs that got no air time. He is great
I loved this song back in the day when I was partying heavy.
🎵 BAD TO THE BONNE 🎵 🎶 🎵 👍
ANOTHER FANTASTIC GOAT JAM!!! THANK YOU!!

The classic line from the classic Charlie Daniels song," there's Elvin Bishop sitting on a bail of hay, he ain't good looking but he sure can play.
This version is ok but the best version is the iconic studio version which is the classic one and worth checking out.Other great George Thorogood tunes to check out are 'move it on over','bad to the bone'. I drink alone', 'who do you love'...check the studio versions for sure.
George is a good time, huh? Studio version of this makes it onto a lot of my playlists, has more (really funny) lyrics. While we're recommending fun storytime blues rock songs, here's one of the all time classics, short and sweet: 'Hot Rod Lincoln' by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen.
George is always a lot of fun! U keep drawing me in! Everyone is giving u some very good suggestions! Kudos to them! Thanks All😎
"That's what was so fun at all the concerts in the 70's & 80's, straight up jam sessions. That's what may be missing now a days, nobody’s fault, things change. That's why it's so much fun watching the younger generation see all of these great bands, true it was better being there, but it's really cool that you are listening to them now! There is still so much music out there waiting to be heard...from the words of the great Randy Bachman- "You ain't seen nothing yet!"
This is fantastic! He mentioned Elvin Bishop. Elvin played "Fooled around and fell in Love". I've never seen this one before. It's great for a live version! He did a great job! It was his landlady btw. Peace! I'm heading over to the other channel right now. Haven't had much time lately.
Yeah ya gotta do "bad to the bone"...
One of the best video recorded performances ever.

I agree. Here's another favorite: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWyKk9Glh9eeeZM.html
George Thoroughly Good and the Delaware Destroyers . Their whole library is awesome ! The first album is covers and it's Ba Ba Ba Bad to the bone ! Miss Luanne is one of my favorites ! It's got one of the best lines ever ! " She's got a body like an Austin Healey chassis with a tan !" What ! You know you were thinking ? Hmmm a woman as sexy as a car ? That's 🔥 ! 😂😂😂😂
Unfortunately George left out a verse in this version of the song. This song is know by your title but it was called The House Rent Blues, which he states at the beginning of the song. He's got quite a few good songs, this and Bad to the Bone are most popular.
What an entertainer. Love his music.
You picked the best performance of this. Elvin Bishop + the Delaware Destroyers = The Best!
In the song he mentioned his John Lee Hooker Record collection…. Hooker wrote this song.
We use to watch him play for free at "THE RALLY BY THE RIVER" In Toledo Ohio
Elvin Bishop and I went to the same high school in Tulsa. THE high school Will Rogers High. He went a bit before me, 6 years, but he would come back occasionally and play for a school assembly. Having said that, George ain't to shabby either!! Great reaction from you also. Be safe man.
You did it….I’m late……so late……George is something else,for sure. ❤️🎼❤️😎👍
saw him at the coogie bay hotel years ago , here in sydney australia , what a fun awesome show it was ,
George was pure cool.
" Elvin Bishop sittin on a bale of hay, he aint good lookin but he sure can play " - Charlie Daniels Band... Long haired Country Boy. 🤘
Prince of Delaware
Anybody old enough to remember knows that Elvin Bishop made the Butterfield Blues Band great.
I am just going to list: Madison Blues, Ride on Josephine, Who do you love, It wasn't me, Back to Wentzville, I drink alone. And look up "no particular place to go. That's a good place to start.
Another banger from George: George Thorogood and The Destroyers: Bad To The Bone As you mentioned Johnny Cash: A Boy Named Sue I suggest Marty Robbins next. Storytelling again, in fact it's a trilogy, so you gotta listen to it in the following order: 01. Marty Robbins: El Paso 02. Marty Robbins: Faleena 03. Marty Robbins: El Paso City If you don't know this one already check it out - surprisingly Black people can relate so much to it: Elvis Presley: In The Ghetto These are also great: Bob Marley: Buffalo Soldier Linton Kwesi Johnson: Loraine Arlo Guthrie. City Of New Orleans Johnny Cash: Folsom Prison Blues Eisenfunk: Pong B52's: Rock Lobster Some more bands/artists I wanna recommend: The HU Band: Yuve Yuve Yu The HU Band: Wolf Totem The HU Band: Song Of Women (featuring Lizzie Hale) The HU Band: The Great Ghengis Khan The Hu Band: The Gereg The HU Band: Shoog Shoog Song The Hu Band: Star Wars Jedi - Fallen Order song Heilung: Kriegsgaldr (lit. War Chant) Heilung: Norupa Wagakki Band (Anything from them is breathtaking...!) Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band: You Can't Steal My Shine Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band: Raise A Little Hell The Dead South: Banjo Odyssey The Dead South: in Hell I'll Be In Good Company Home Free: Man Of Constant Sorrow Geoff Castellucci: Sixteen Tons Geoff Castellucci: Big Bad John Celia Farran: We Need More Men In Kilts Celia Farran: The Symbol Song Celia Farran: Everyday Godess Lindsey Sterling: Roundtable Rebel Another fun one is Ian Dury: Ian Dury and The Blockheads: Hit Me With Your Rhythmstick
Best freaking reaction to the best freaking drinking song! 😁🍾

Thank you
As sonnywolfblues says, this is one time where the studio version is EVEN better than the live version. Because the story before he gets to the bar is more complete, when it's live George just wants to get the bar. Seen him live and he is just as advertised, he and his band The Delaware Destroyers, just boogie hard the whole show. At the end everyone is spent, the band and the crowd. George Thorogood can work a crowd like few other performers, if you weren't a fan going into the show, you will be one on the way out. All the songs recommended by sonnywolfblues are killer.
George is a party!
no one better at telling a story better than george.(if reviewing a real big band) go to early live recordings. it is how they made it big. LIVE is always better. mght not sound better than the original but it is raw
That was crazy good 👍!!
One of the tightest bands ever ,
👏👏👏 This is a super fun classic tune from George!! Love that you checked out the live.... he's too much fun!!🙃 You rock Biz!!👊💯😘 P.S. I'm hoping to be able to play catch-up with some of your uploads tonight!! I'm especially looking forward to the freaking "BACK IN BLACK" ones!! Been looking forward to your thoughts on the whole Bon vs Brian debate once you heard Both of them! And now that you've heard both and the have background on not just the music but the story, I'm sure you have a lot to say! lol!! Fingers-crossed for tonight!!🤞😜

Lol i have alot to say
I like the version where he does mostly the story. George is a real performer.
Don’t make em like they used to bro…ROCK N ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!
Hey, Biz! Do his Greatest Hits they're all great. Bad to the Bone. This version has a long beginning but wait till he starts rocking. And Elvin Bishop is a famous guitarist from I forget which group.
We need more every man's band! Lol... please react to prolific the rapper...black snakes..or and snotty nose rez kids..indigenous resistance...awesome channel thank you
love this live it's awesome
Check out the one that John Lee Hooker does from his album..."Chillout" (1995)...damn SMooooTH!
Great!!
I drink alone is also good by George Thorogood
Forgive me for not listening video, just wanted to mention about one of Georges tours in the early eighties when Johnny Winter was his opening act, the article in the paper the next day which was the width of the paper and at least six inches high spoke of Johnny Winter and at the end of
He’s from my hometown of Wilmington, DELAWARE
Gear jammer is a smoking tune by George and the boys. I think you'd like it.
If you liked this song you need to listen to Pat Travers live “Boom Boom Out Go The Lights”
He’s on tour with Sammy Hagar. Can’t wait to see him August 27 in Chicago
Bro if you liked Elvin Bishop you need to check out his Raising He’ll Live album from 1977. It’s a funky, jazzy bluesy sound. Outstanding album
George Thorogood is usually standing room only cause most when George is playing cant keep their asses in a seat
Classic

Do Pat Travers Band, “Boom Boom Out Go The Lights”, “Snortin’ Whiskey, Drinkin’ Cocaine”
Watch Thourougood & Albert collins Madison blues live. It will change your life
“I’m ready!” Nope. ☺️
👌🏻
Gotta pay respects to John Lee Hooker.
Bad To the Bone has a great video with George playing pool with BB King and pool hustler Willie Moscone betting on BB and losing.
I'm from East Point what part of Georgia you from? You grown here or flown here? Please react to St Paul and the Broken Bones "Broken Bones and Pocket Change" please make sure it's the Bluegrass Underground video. I promise you will not be disappointed brother!
as much as i love george thorogood, his catalogue ain't worth divining into, beyond 5 of his greatest songs.
queen live aid 1985 you will be shocked
Next up from George Thorogood: Bad to the Bone.
George Thorogood was friends with John Lee Hooker kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKKMkqV8hbfNqtY.html John Lee Hooker's version is good too.
Sorry hit send by mistake, anyways all it said about George Thorogood was to go home and learn to play the guitar.
☮️💜. Check out some more Elvin Bishop
HORRIBLE version of this song. He rushes through it almost double speed. Good review, though. Live versions tend to suck, especially for first time listeners.
