Muddy Waters inspired and mentored many Rock and Roll artists. He is a legend often mentioned by people who are now legendary themselves as having had a huge impact on them. He rebirthed the Blues scene in England in the late 50s when he traveled there. I saw a video once of him and Eric Clapton playing some dive in Louisiana and it was incredible. You should certainly do a reaction to him.

I have seen George Thorogood twice live the first time opening up for the stones the 1978 some girls tour and then again a few years later at the Orpheum theater in Memphis. I got free tickets and the man apologized who gave them, sorry it's orchestra pit. Literally 10 inches away from this man the whole time he was playing. We were standing on our seats through the whole show. Sweat was flying off of him onto us. We were just loving every minute of it incredible. The next day there was a picture in the newspaper of us, silhouetted by the stage lights three people with George in front of us and the caption read ecstatic fans refused to sit during concert. I have no regret who could sit through that.. it was awesome.❤❤❤

A long time ago, when I was young, I went to blues concerts like twice a week. Alone, because my friends opinions were like: "Arg! You can hear blues music when you are old! We are young, let's go to the disco!" ... I didn't regret my choice - but they do! Years later they went for the blues too, but ... a lot of blues boys were already gone then! I saw JL Hooker, B.B. King and co live! That was an amazing experience! Blues was never boring and will never be boring! :-) *cheers/1b/1s/1b

When my dad was in college, George Thorogood was doing a 50 state capitals in 50 days tour. My dad and his buddies followed the concert through 4 or 5 states in a row. And he said at one of the shows george brought an audience member up to challenge him at guitar. It was an old guy that was neck and neck with him playing. Then the old guy blew him away. Then george got up and ripped his hat and wig off and it was eric Clapton. He said they only did that one time and he was lucky to be there

@@johngammon7891 This is George's combination of 2 John Lee Hooker songs, "House Rent Blues" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer". George added a bunch of words to the songs. Check out the studio version

Drummer and bassist are keeping the train rolling. George and Elvin and the sax guy are the coal you toss in the fire.

I saw George early in his career, I think his first album had just been released, in a small bar in downtown Atlanta known as a rowdy joint. George was on the dance floor or table tops as much as he was on stage. His roadie worked as hard as he did keeping that long power cord from getting snarled up. And he just kept going. He impressed us and we were a hard crowd. Go check out the names he mentions. Those are some of the old masters of blues that guys like Elvin and he learned from.

Never had the pleasure to see him live, but he’s a lot of fun and knows how to rock! This isn’t something I’d put on my regular playlist, but it would definitely be played at my parties!

Classic George Thorogood. I was brought up on this. He’s so fun at a show! I’m sure you can see that. For an entire great album, find and listen to “Move It On Over”, a lot of great songs to boogie too ; )

A few years back I was buying and selling tickets at red rocks.had a bit of a scuffle with another scalper who eventually came up and asked if I wanted to go in on his last two tickets. Pleasantly surprised by pits and grinning big some 20 feet from George his and my eyes met and I did this with my hands and shoulders to say it doesn't get any better than this and george gave it right back to me with that big smile to say from his perspective it also didn't get any better. Needless to say George puts on one hell of a show!

Ooooh it hurts my heart that you haven’t heard any of those blues greats yet! We’ve got to do something about that! I’ve got a playlist of live Lightnin’ Hopkins performances on my channel. I’ll go through and move the ones I’d recommend first up to the top (if they’re not already there - I don’t remember). I have a Clarence Gatemouth Brown playlist too, and the first couple dozen songs are all live also. I think you’d especially love his performances with Canned Heat. He didn’t mention him but he belongs in that list too!

You notice when people comment, most don't tell you if they liked the video or not first, they just want to tell you what they want next?! Well, I appreciate you. I'm part of a reaction channel too and I've got to tell you that what I love about you is your open mind and enthusiasm to be fed more music. You just keep rocking brother, cuz you're Bad to the Bone. (And that WAS a hint for the next Thorogood tune to check out!) 😎🤘
