I do think the confession scene kind of left how Charles feels up in the air to an extent and things may not be fully resolved. I definitely feel like there's room to explore the relationship, because what Charles says comes across kind of like, "I'm not sure I feel the same way you feel about me, but rest assured that I DO love you more than anything and that's what's most important." And he indicated that they would have the time to work things out together, suggesting maybe he's not fully sure how he feels or that he isn't ready to unpack it yet. And honestly, it takes a lot of bravery and a lot of familiarity with a person, I think, to express that depth of emotion to them. Regardless of whether it's romantic or not, Charles clearly considers Edwin his first priority and would do anything for him. It speaks to the strength of their bond as well that they can go on being as close as they are after Edwin's confession. In most cases, a confession and a rejection would make things awkward and cause strain in a relationship. But I think in the end, their ability to finally be honest with each other after holding some things back all season is actually freeing for them, and as Edwin says, their friendship actually becomes stronger as a result of that honesty and openness. IMO there's a real purity in that that you don't get from most relationships depicted on screen --- or those experienced in real life. I'm quite impressed by these young actors and the warmth and nuance they brought to Edwin and Charles's characters and their relationship. I'll be sad if we don't get to see more of them in a season 2.

Same! I think regardless it’s beautiful, but if we do get a second season I really hope that Charles begins to call in love with Edwin eventually. I also imagine that Edwin would most likely still have those feelings for Charles, but is mostly okay because he was able to get it off his chest. I think Charles has the potential to develop feelings and I think that would be a wonderful thing to explore. I imagine when he realizes he’d rush to Edwin and it would be super cute and wholesome. I do hope they become canon and end up being endgame.

The friends to lovers is like one of my favourite relationship dynamics and when Edwin confessed his love it made my day even though he was rejected the scene still was really beautiful. and i cant wait to see if there will be new seasons and if so i hope to see maybe just maybe a spark shine between the friends ❤
