Great interview! He obviously felt more comfortable here. In his 1917 interviews he would always say he "knew" Schofield but never really said why. Interesting to see how one role influences the other.

The Oleksinski article in the New York Post, dated April 22, 2020, reported George Mackay prepared for his role in the movie THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE KELLY GANG by wrestling shirtless. George Mackay really immersed himself physically, mentally, and spiritually in his role as Ned Kelly, an Australian folk hero and apparent bad-assed character. I liked his performance as Lance Corporal Schofield in the movie 1917 and look forward to viewing his other performances.
Film wasn’t great but George was brilliant!
