‘True History of the Kelly Gang’ Essie Davis in a Sex Scene With Charlie Hunnam

Ойын-сауық

Do you ever wonder how actors feel when they see their significant other in a sex scene on screen? “True History of the Kelly Gang” director Justin Kurzel not only had to watch - he had to direct his wife Essie Davis in a scene with Charlie Hunnam.
“I have the privilege of being married to the director,” Davis told TheWrap’s Beatrice Verhoeven at the Toronto International Film Festival. “Charlie’s first day on set, and my second day on set, [Kurzel was like], ‘Okay, Essie, can you kneel down and Charlie can you stand there?’ I was like, ‘Hi, Charlie!'”

Charlie lived in America since he was a teen. and after playing an American character (Jax Teller) for eight years he himself said that his accent changed. he speaks with a mix of American and British. and several other accents mixed in 😅 every English speaking person who is not American but lives there for long changes their accent. some cant help it and some do it on purpose cuz somehow Americans cant seem to understand British , Irish , Scottish , Welsh accents that well 💀 for e.g Colin Farrell doesn't sound as Irish as he used to and Gary Oldman had to legit LEARN British accent all over again for a movie

@@justinpnilon9366 well ig thats the point of the movie though is that no one can really know whats true or not because history is always written through a specific perspective and opinion and a lot of the cast members touch on this in their other interviews

These actors have no idea of the true story of Ned Kelly. They clearly do not know that 82% of the police in Victoria were Irish Catholics. There was no improper behaviour by the police in relation to the Kelly clan at all. The Royal Commission into the Kelly outbreak confirmed that, and here is what they said. “ It may also be mentioned that the charge of persecution of the family by the members of the police force has been frequently urged in extenuation of the crimes of the outlaws; but, after careful examination, your Commissioners have arrived at the conclusion that the police, in their dealings with the Kelly’s and their relations, were simply desirous of discharging their duty conscientiously; and that no evidence has been adduced to support the allegation that either the outlaws or their friends were subjected to persecution or unnecessary annoyance at the hands of the police.” Constable Fitzpatrick did not make an improper approach to Kate Kelly, and although Ned Kelly said he was not there at the time, in fact he was there, and after his capture confirmed that. Here is what Kelly said himself about that incident. Under oath, during Ned Kelly’s trial in Melbourne, Senior Constable Kelly described a conversation he had with Ned Kelly immediately after he had been captured at Glenrowan: “Between 3 and 6 the same morning had another conversation with prisoner in the presence of Constable Ryan. Gave him some milk-and-water. Asked him if Fitzpatrick’s statement was correct. Prisoner said, “Yes, I shot him.” After Kelly was captured he was interviewed by a journalist from the Age. “Reporter: Now Kelly, what is the real history of Fitzpatrick’s business? Did he ever try to take liberties with your sister Kate?” Kelly: No that is a foolish story. If he or any other policeman tried to take liberties with my sister, Victoria would not hold him” (The Age, August 9th1880) Ellen Kelly was a hothead who ran a prostitution racket, and sly grog shop, was loose with her morals and clearly was promiscuous, and was the matriarch of a criminal family. What a pity these actors have no real idea of what the Kelly clan were like.

they've said in numerous interviews that the film isn't meant as an accurate depiction of what happened but rather the film being "in the spirit" of these young men
