This guy’s swing is just not talked about enough!!! So good!
What a swing! Moe Norman, George Knudson, Ben Hogan...most perfectly executed swings in the game.

@aaajjworm - If those 3 have the "most" perfectly executed swings in the game, it begs the questions of who has/had .the "perfectly" executed swing ?? To me, Eamonn Darcy has the "perfect swing" and Jim Furyk is a close second. "Perfect" is all about impact, and not about how pretty you look getting there.

All with what today is called a weak grip especially Hogan.
Loving finding out about GEORGE amazing swing wish he had came to the OPEN
very close swing to Mac O'Grady's from the late 80's... I love how the elbows remain in sync and somewhat close together with rotation of body!! This is something not many tour pro's do. They "go after it" much more by separating and lifting elbows independent of body rotation. They have to for more leverage and power. Gone are the days of Cory Pavin or Justin Leonard.... Courses are so long....
Caddied in the same group with him many times. Magic swing but his eyesight was terrible. I don’t think the guy ever saw a golf ball land. Nice man.
Solid OTT swing!
Wow...That looks like "Rick Swang" !!!!
In watching this, that bottom core is planted and he just lets his body tuck in naturally and then is in no rush to come back down, he just follows his bodies natural movement and the club follows suit. Learning how to succumb to this and being patient with awesome temp is so key. This has been an area for me that is an absolute game changer.

Nice man. For me, putting the club as far as I possibly can into my fingers and finding the correct grip pressure is what was the game changer for me, I was doing everything else pretty much correct but my tension in my hands was killing my consistency.

Is there a trick to training my mind to be patient?
To me, it looks like he very deliberately is rotating his left wrist so that the back of his hand faces the ground at about the time when his hands are passing his right leg in the downswing. At the same time, he also pronates that lead wrist very markedly before letting the right hand roll over the top of the left. I can't recall seeing this move in any other swing- at least not to this degree.

agreed!
Well done....if he could have putted he would have crushed everyone. He really was an amazing ball striker. He and Moe Norman used to see how many flags they could hit in a round. Hence...why he used to say golf is a target game.

Great comment J.P. Thanks for that. Two of the best ball strikers ever. Cheers

And why neither of them could putt 🤣
Moved off ball a lot on first swing.
Hogan and Knudson returned their hands at impact to where they were at address in terms of maintaining wrist angle.
Giving it up to my boy George, no, not that Boy George, for wearing the shades decades before Deion. A man comfortable in his own skin. And in polyester too.
You'll always be Trevor on top to me
