Blood from a Clone, opening track, off Somewhere in England….don’t remember if I mentioned that.

I don't think I'd ever heard of the Electronic Sound LP. I'm curious now ....

I have all of George's solo albums.....my favorite is Early Takes vol 1 (which I realize is not an actual solo album but a comp....still the one I go to most)......and I think Brainwashed has some of his better songs....great album a top shelf album for me..........Dark Horse has some good stuff as does Living In The Material world....the song Dark Horse is pure George.........I agree wonderwall is background music....All Things Must Pass would have made a killer single or maybe double album.....I do like 33 and 1/3...This Song was a huge hit at the time.......its nice car music......Cloud 9 was a fairly strong album as a whole....Extra Texture has grown on me over the years...

I'm a big fan of 33 and a Third. And unlike your esteemed self, I liked "Woman Don't You Cry for Me" a lot, immediately.

LOL…don’t know why but that song bugs me.

I would of had Dark Horse lower. Never understood what he was saying about Zappa in the lyrics…any ideas? I read that both him and Lennon liked Cruising with Ruben and the Jets.

I think the song is an attack on the music industry, the Blood of the Clone referring to labels wanting music that sounds like already successful music, which in George’s case means “Just sound like the Beatles!” Or up and coming bands being encouraged to sound like the hottest current act. The Zappa reference is a compliment in that the labels do NOT want you to sound like Zappa…put some oomph in it but not that much!!!

All things Must Pass is my favorite post Beatles solo song I think everyone in England played on ATMP album with exception on Phil Collins I liked your comment about jam band feel and made me think that I much prefer seeing Geroge Fest concert from Los Angeles thank the big Concert for Geroge held in Royal Albert hall

I might agree on the song being his best post Beatles track…? There exists a timeline where ATMP the album is a single lp and easily ranks as one of the greatest albums ever made, with ATMP the song being the final track and the last thing GH ever released. The ultimate mic drop…..

@@paulayers1111 The story goes a 19year old Phil aaa at session and played his ass off for hours his “ hands were shot “ and his mic was off But album version was different mix and his is not on it But don’t feel bad he did alright for himself afterward

I'm probably an outlier, but I do enjoy Wonderwall.
