Did you forget to list an adjective between "very" and "content?" What was it? Mature? Edgy? Wise? Vulgar? Sexual? Controversial? Political? Harsh truth? Insightful? Heavy? Even if a school did allow such heavy content to teach kids these things at a young age, it wouldn't be appropriate because of George Carlin's cursing and what he said about jamming a red, white and blue Richard in our rear. One does not simply teach kids swears.

@Jeff Whitman What's amazing is you provided zero information, not even what you see, yet you acquired a defender based upon the most superficial statement. An experiment in human nature. So it's not the details that trigger a subset of the population. On the other hand, maybe people listened and for whatever reason didn't find you compelling. Don't worry, they're probably the first generation to walk upright. First-order approximation, it appears to parallel veterans', especially those of color, experience with coming home and finding out the government shafted them. For all the love the military talk, soldiers find out politicians really love their military stocks and dividends more than soldiers. Folks coming home maimed and disabled is bad PR for the war cause. It hurts stock prices. People of all walks realize they are being lied to by leadership, especially political party leadership. Why do some latch onto exploiters? Why don't they question the information provided? Why don't they question the press narrative? And by question I don't mean in a manner of confirmation bias. This stuff has been going on for 50, 60 or so years. Is there no solution? Why are we led to believe there is? Hopefully folk get the idea. @King Aries 40 years. The beginning of Neoliberalism. The execution of a coordinated plan by big business to end the progress being made by grass roots movements and individuals. The backlash to the 60s counterculture movement which was so effective at changing policies and laws and making a difference it terrified the "owners". They successfully put a stop to that amazing phenomenon of citizens organizing and actually causing change for the good. They were great at promoting Greed is Good and campaigns of fear, propaganda and now to big to fail will prevent any sort of uprising or citizens organizing to make change. I think people are starting to become privy and the younger generation is absolutely smart and armed and capable of possibly challenging the status quo as we saw with the success of Bernie Sanders campaign but it's going to take a movement a huge amount of effort and action by so many people I don't know if we can make any dent in the Neoliberal now global conglomerate or have any effect on the top 1% control- the owners or my favorite term is Masters of Mankind. They own everything amd control everything and this all occurred within 40 years. It quite terrifying and shocking and easy to see why so many of us passively accept reality. When people are so disconnected from reality by the Media & dumbed down public education that the only successful way to get a message through is from a comedy stage. I don't entirely blame the problem on willingly ignorant Americans. I still see that we have people who are hardworking, & are doing their best to pay their taxes & obey the laws of the land. We have all been lied to & exploited practically from birth- - so the blame for that & the hatred for that DOES NOT go to the duped & the exploited, it goes to these megalomaniac, self-appointed demi-gods we call the rich & powerful; the 1-5% Elite

The six most powerful words in the English language are who, what, why, when, how, and where. Interrogatives have power for the individual. The state hates them.

He knew he was going to die soon, and I'd argue that if it wasn't for that fact we likely wouldn't have got the amazing work he did towards the end that he left us with. These shows were his last hoorah.

Cold hard truth with laughs. Glad George can't see us now. Although i wish he was here. We could use him
@dwandersgaming

Realize that he is on their platforms...HBO, tv etc so he's probably saying this with their consent. In the end Carlin makes fun of us which is what the elite do as well. They laugh at us for being idiots and buying their bullshit in the media.
@umCarneirofalante
3 жыл бұрын
@@dwandersgaming I don't think it's a matter of consent. In the grand scheme of things George is nothing. George doesn't disturb 'em, even though he managed to get in trouble with the Seven Dirty Words bit. It's also interesting to notice how most forms if not all forms of counterculture are eventually absorbed by the system and by culture itself. Mass culture, mass consumption, niche, cliché, it doesn't matter. You can't win. We can't win.
@dwandersgaming

@@umCarneirofalante I agree that in the grand scheme that George is nothing. But people believe he is legit when he is not. He talks about the owners so people should realize that he is talking through the owners platforms. That's where my consent comment comes from.

@@dwandersgaming Well, yeah. I get what you're saying but where he'd talk about it if he couldn't do it this way? I mean, how could I, a non-US citizen, come across his work if it wasn't for the HBO specials and his records and his books? He still had a job to do, you know. Money for food and other ordinary expenses. We're all in and under the system no matter how much we criticize it, publicly or not. Does he come off as hypocritical? Well, we all are sort of hypocrites, ain't we? We have to live with that.
@dwandersgaming

@@umCarneirofalante Not saying he is a hypocrite. It could run deeper than that. If you believe media is controlled then so are celebrities. Many things of a conspiratorial nature are also there by design. It may have to do with controlled opposition and making an appearance that things are adversarial when they are not. Things from communism vs capitalism to Coke vs Pepsi-same big money is behind them all. If everything went one way then the populace might become aware.

I've been trying to tell people this for many years, but most just don't believe me. This information is covered in several documentaries. The only thing they don’t understand is that this kind of consumerism is exactly whats going to kill them and our children. Increasing GDP is the number one cause of humanity’s problems.
