There needs to be an investigation into the Companies that did the structural, Architectual and the building contractors ethics. Sounds like somebody got the concrete / cement mix wrong.

True - The wrong cement mixing ratio , wrong cement strength , wrong cement product , wrong steel radius ( Thickness ) . The use of Cheap Chinese Buiding Material and Poor Quality of Import Vietnam CEMENT - Bribing of Structural Engineers and lack of Municipalty Building Inspectors. The use of unskilled illegal foreigners as cheap labour to MAXIMISE PROFITS.

Who was the architect and engineers people need to take responsibility for this

you must be 5 years old. the DA run municipality approves building plans and enforces by-laws. if the developer or contractor stuffs up, it's on them, not the DA 🤦‍♂️

@@Blimzio Actually, blimpie we all know the DA runs a better ship than other parties by light years. Look at all the whites on the job of rescue. It is more on the contractor overseer but the inspector of the job and testing of the crush stress strength is on the municipality. Each stage needs signing off. That is a good question - 80 people is suspect. Many times the cheap labour is illegal foreigners maybe they were sleeping in the building. I wonder if the cheap labour was registered with Deprtment of labour, SARS, Work Compensation?

Black South Africans need to wake up HARD hey. The policies of this country is literally going to collapse on top of them. I hope they rescue all 40 workers. No human being needs to suffer under this ANC rule.
