Curious thing about what they call "mestizo" which basically means mixed ethnicity, you cannot tell by simple the color of the skin if someone is mestizo or not, there are mestizos that look almost native and also mestizos that look European, other mestizos that look Asian or with very strong African characteristics
the thing about cartel you have to undertand is that is all over the world and mexico is just the example, as a mexican im talling you that drug cartel members can be your neighboor here and in japan, you never know were they at

so true, im mexican and live in small fishing town in baja, and we have cartels here and i met them before and they wave saying hi and they seem like the nicest people, i know they are here to hassle the co op fishing business for money but they really dont target civilians. most cartels just doing their thing and as log as you dont get involved or interfere in their business they will leave you alone
