You're right, Brazil is kinda like USA in terms of diversity of people, having people from all over the world. But the main difference is that in Brazil people mixed way more and are still getting mixed, while in USA the different ethnic groups most of the times don't mix that much and that's why there are strong communities/neighbourhoods of asians, latinos, indians, blacks, arabs etc. The most weird thing to me is how much people are "segregated" in USA to the point where black people has its own way of talking and there are even sentences like "white/black music, white/black dances", this is weird for us brazilians, our main "segregation" is based on poverty, but rich and poor shares basically the same culture and same way of talking (of course according to each regional accent and local expressions). So regarding to foreign culture USA is way more diverse, since these communities keeps their religion, languages, culture, while in Brazil the language is basically only portuguese, the religion is in majority Christianism, very very few descendants from other countries know how to speak their ancestral languages, very few japanese descendants here for example know how to speak japanese.

True points here. The only thing I would disagree with is how there is little to no mixing of races or communities in the USA. This was something that was very frowned upon socially 30-50 years ago but not anymore nowadays. You still have some “good old boys” who think no one should mix but it’s not a big deal anymore. There are pockets of communities that live together in areas of each city and state though. I wish there wasn’t. And there are difference accents among the races too in the same states.

@@BoringReviews I see, yeah in the future USA will have a "pardo-ish" race too probably, nowadays 30-50 years of intense mixing are not enough time to get a really mixed nation yet, while in Brazil people are mixing intensely for centuries. But I like how USA is the image of globalization, I like how many cultures from different countries lives in hamony there, of course there are racism but it's nice to see many parts of the world in the same country.

I know this video is a little old and people don't always have correct information about other countries, even more so when it comes to a Latin American country. So I hope to clarify some wrong points in the video: - Deforestation in the Amazon: yes, this is a real problem, but it is much smaller than what is said abroad. The main target of deforestation in Brazil is the Atlantic Forest, since practically 80% of the Brazilian population lives in the coastal region of the country. In addition, speaking specifically of the Amazon, the devastation is caused by mining and, mainly, by illegal logging (mainly by American and European companies). And to say that the deforestation caused by the agricultural industry is due to the fact that the Brazilian population has grown rapidly in recent decades is another mistake, since practically all large-scale production is for export, not for domestic consumption. - Demographics: The Brazilian population is estimated at approximately 215 million inhabitants, making us the 7th most populous country in the world (recently overtaken by Bangladesh and Nigeria). Of this total population, 47% are white, 43% are pardos (mixed), 8% are black, 1.5% are indigenous natives and 0.5% are Asian. Regarding this pardo population, it should be noted that this term is used both for the mixture of whites and blacks as well as whites and indigenous peoples. In general, black people are more concentrated in eastern Brazil, mainly in the states of Sergipe, Bahia, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. Further inland, the mixture of whites and indigenous people is more predominant. This is why the numbers of indigenous people are so low, since mixing with Europeans has been going on for almost 500 years. In fact, a large part of the population is descended from indigenous natives, but only that 1.5% are more "pure" (although this is not a correct term to use).

A large part of the Brazilian population lives in areas of the Amazon Forest, they are called "ribeirinhos" and they live from fishing, they are generally indigenous decendants, and I believe that there really are no isolated tribes, this is probably false, as there are also many illegal logging companies and dr@#g trafficking routes In the Amazon that it is impossible for there to be tribes that have never had contact with modern society, and there are also European companies with ships that have been discovered stealing drinking water from the Amazon Basin
