Brasil se escreve com "S" e tem som de "Z". Ronaldo "Fenômeno" e Ronaldinho Gaúcho são brasileiros. Cristiano Ronaldo não. Bahia se lê Ba-i-a e não Ba-rri-a. O carioca fala Bixxxxcoito e não Biscoito. Em Roraima tem Floresta Amazônica, Savana e Serras(Montanhas). Existe uma grande riqueza da natureza chamada Pantanal. O Brasil é multicultural, não há só samba. E nem todo mundo gosta de futebol e carnaval.

The "biscoito-bolacha" discussion is not even a thing in Brazil. The vast majority of Brazilians don't care about how you call your cookies. It's most an internal joke in Rio de Janeiro, where people only call their cookies as "biscoito" (which is actually an adaptation of a French word), and make fun of everyone who calls them "bolacha" (which is the original Portuguese word for the food in question).

That was a meme years ago. But for those kind of questions portuguese speakers should just follow the southern Brazil accent, since we speak a closer portuguese to the one speaked by the portuguese explorers from 16th century, more similar even compared with portuguese from portugal nowadays. It's bolacha by the way.

This *Geography Now* guy is constantly changing or messing up pronunciations. I've spotted at least one in every video I've seen from that channel, along with multiple mistakes with his "facts" which I'll also spot myself, or read about in the comments. I can't wait to see how many mispronunciations, and false facts he makes when he eventually gets around to doing England, and the rest of the UK.

Brazilian talking here: I'm on bolacha side btw. Brazilian people need to see how people from other countries see us, if these people complain about, a lot of hate will be thrown, if you say it's like we disagree, if a Brazilian says: Brazil sucks, every Brazilian will agree with him, but if other person say it, we will have to disagree, and say you're wrong.

the pronounce of "Rio de Janeiro" depends on the region where is spoken. In the northeast, where i'm from, people say "Rio dee janeiro", as spanish accent. Btw the accent in brazil can change very hard, so, some words can sound totaly different.
