Did you know that the Vatican City in Italy is the smallest country in the world. Yes, the Vatican City is a country inside a country.

San Marino is also technically another country completely landlocked inside Italy. It's a quite beautiful place, but as an italian we don't really perceive them as different countries any more than any region and city is already some sort of country. Which I think comes from the ancient times where the polis/city-state was the norm.

“Terroni” is used to insult south italy people because of their farmers past. It came from “terra” wich means “ground”.

No, sir. It means “ground eater” because South Italy is often victim of hearthquakes and of explosions of volcanoes.

So much bullshit I'm hearing in this video. "Barbato" does not mean bearded, in Italian it is said: "barbuto". "Lucius Cornelius Scipio Barbatus did not defeat Hannibal, it was Publius Cornelius Scipio known as Africanus, who was his descendant. And I only watched the first 5 minutes...😂 The Po ends in Venzia, no it doesn't end in Venzia, but it doesn't even end in Venice for that matter! 😂 😂 😂

As far as I know the ones he mentioned are not Unesco World Heritages but just random fascinating spots. As an italian they just seem a bit too random to me, but he expressly said he wanted to avoid castles museums and monuments especially the famous ones, so I think it makes sense. He gave some naturalistic spots and a couple of monuments made by crazy people and ai think that's fine. They are part of the beauty of my country too.

and as a person who says football, I want to ask: what part of the body is soccer? Because, even though I hate football, I know that you kick a ball, coincidentally with your feet. So the states listed there are simply ignorant, because, from what I know, there is no part of the body called soccer...

Have I missed something, has this guy done the UK ? Iv checked his site out but can’t find it How long will you be able to spend in the Uk ? 2 weeks in any country in Europe will only allow you to scratch the surface . I would do research on each and then sort out a geographical route out to try and make the most of them . The problem will be the amount of time your are travelling In the 70s parties of Americans came over to do Europe in 10 days 2 days for the UK 2 days in France 2 days in Italy 2 days in Greece 2 days in Spain And then fly home , having ticked of some of the famous venues in each country . In the Uk it was London , Oxford , the Cotswold ( where I live ) York then Edinburgh Fly to Paris and do the same over there

He is going in alphabetical order. So, he may not be there yet. Or maybe he did England separate from UK? Don’t be mad… we took Cotswold out. 😬 There are soo many places to go and see, we just can’t hit them all. Plus travel time. I don’t want to be rushed either. I want to enjoy the culture, food, scenery, etc.

Barbie was wrong in talking about Malta being close to Italy…..he meant Sardinia the large island to the west of central Italy…..Malta historically has no ties to Italy…it was a British possession until 1960….it’s location is southwest of Sicily…Malta has it own language but has Arabic origins….check his Malta reaction for clarity on the islands history and geography……

FYI Malta has a huge connection to Italy. Most of their news, music and shows are from Italy (in Italian). And that’s also why they can speak Italian.

The first settlements in Malta date back to 5,000 BC, when a group of people who arrived from nearby Sicily began to populate the islands of Gozo and Malta. From 800 BC Malta belonged to the Phoenicians. Subsequently, the island passed into the hands of the Carthaginians, who occupied it for 250 years, until the outbreak of the Second Punic War against the Romans. The Romans managed to take over Malta, which came under the rule of the Roman Empire. Malta was then occupied by the Byzantines for almost four centuries, until the latter left it to the Arabs at the end of the 9th century. Please do not write inaccuracies if you have not studied the history of a country
