the adulation on the commentary during the fight gifted unto Canelo is biased. Canelo throws combos, misses and have them too blocked much by Golovkin's high guard and they are hardly mentioned. i have seen it many times now and i don't see Canelo winning even a single scorecard. close, yes it was. competitive? yes. but you can see Golovkin taking risk and trying to take the fight into a real fight. don't judges always look for that? the aggressor? unless the punch stats overwhelmingly states otherwise in favor, how could Canelo win even a single scorecard let alone the 118-110? Golovkin's pressure had been consistent throughout and the volume of punches amounting to those landed would satisfy that he indeed was the clear winner. i am sure triple G can be proud and find rest knowing that the majority of fight fans all over have without doubt know and acknowledge who the King of the 160 is. but not so for the other one Canelo.

Peter O'Connell it was a close fight. I agree with the the judges if one scored 115-113 for Canelo, 115-113 for GGG, and 114-144. Though I would agree more with 115-113 for GGG, 115-113 for GGG again, and 144-144. I did see GGG winning by a little bit but not a landslide. People who see at as a landslide are delusional. Also 118-110 is insane for either Canelo or GGG. No way Canelo won 118-100 and no way GGG 118-110. Just cuz GGG was the aggressor doesn't mean he instantly gets a win. Mayweather was never really an aggressor and still was undefeated. Sure his fights weren't the most entertaining to watch but they were still legit (for the most part).

Peter O'Connell Look at the punch stats. Stop being bias. Canelo landed more punches at a higher percentage. A lot of punches that Triple G was throwing were missing. He was hitting the air and Canelos gloves. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying all of his punches missed. The stats show that Canelo was more effective though. Just because Triple G was the aggressor doesn't mean he won. This fight is like Mayweather vs Maidana 1. Canelo is Mayweather and Triple G is Maidana. So you're basically saying Maidana won that fight just because he was the aggressor? You're just going to shove the stats and punches landed to the side?

GGG only got off when Canelo cardio sent him to the ropes. The harder shots were by Canelo in the center of the ring. Punch stats are stupid stats. It's a man judging what lands are not. 10 different people would have different punch stats. Canelo has stamina issues. GGG got credit for push jabs and non landing punches.

GGG is a beast. He just walks through the power punches and combos

1-2 rounds, either way. i had mine 115-113 GGG. The draw was fine, the 118-110 was not. And sorry, but as a judge, to say "she had a bad night" is so f*cking lame. The commission HAS to get it's act together or continue losing fans to MMA. With the Loma - Rigo fight comin' up, they have GOT to at least re-establish some credibility.
