It was a close fight.. maybe a tie even, but since GGG was the Champ the Judges desicions should have been in favor of GGG. You have to beat the Champ without reasonable doubt to get the belt. The fight was super close it should have been GGG to win since he is only defending his belt. Some people will say Canelo was the constant aggressor during the fight thats why he won... well what about their last fight GGG was the aggressor in that fight yet they made it a draw. Some bullshit going on in boxing..

But Canelo didnt knock him out like he wanted to. Even Canelo said it himself, he was going for a knockout thats why he was the aggressor but none of his shots were strong enough to put GGG to sleep. I mean you REALLY have to beat the Champ to take his belt, either knock him out cold or a totally one sided fight. Their fight was close, yes Canelo did some damage but GGG won rounds too it wasnt a one sided bout. Plus GGG was eating up most of Canelo's best punches and still didnt go down. But Respect to both fighters that was one hell of a fight!!

It was a good competitive close fight. My opinion: Triple G won that fight again. But my issue is the 12th round. Everyone knows GGG won that 12th round but 2 out of the 3 judges scored the 12th for Canelo. Oscar De La Hoya knows a Trilogy makes $. Boxing is a Business 1st 🤷‍♂️.

I'm a GGG fan. However Canelo won this fight. The last fight was an eye opener to GGG fans . He clearly respected Canelo power and was 2nd to his speed. This time Canelo fought toe to toe and stepped up to challenge GGG. Triple GGG was not able to out box him and most IMPORTANTLY was unable to implement his way of boxing. Why? Because he felt Canelo power

The last fight GGG clearly won in my opinion. This time around it was even harder to score. I still felt like I could give the edge to GGG. But I feel like this fight could have been a more fair draw result than the last time. Last time GGG clearly got robbed. Here I cant really say the same. It was in Las Vegas, under the promotion of Golden Boy with a Golden Boy fighter so of course if it was really really close they would give it to Canelo. I absolutely loved the fight itself though. I dont think I have seen 2 guys so well matched in a really long time. They could fight till the end of times. They barely ever clinched and when they did it was always clean. Referee barely had to do anything. Boxers can learn alot from these 2. I f**king hate Las Vegas and creeps like Oscar de la Hoya or Floyd Mayweather taking advantage of the rigged system over there. There is already alot of controversy about the scorecards, there was supposedly taken a point from GGG for a headbutt, but the referee never deducted one. Also 2 out of 3 referees gave the last round to Canelo but I really felt like GGG won the last round. My love hate relationship with Boxing is something I have learned to live with. Nowadays I am just analyzing the game and giving people my honest opinion. Yeah I was rooting for GGG, especially with all the PED controversy surrounding Canelo but this was a damn good fight so cant really be mad. We got treated with a legendary fight.

The fight should have been a brilliant draw. It was a fantastic fight by two brilliant warriors and none of them deserved to lose. Their fitness, skill and durability were on another planet to other boxers and deserved every penny /cent they got. As a neutral i thought GGG just edged it. GGG is such a great champ and real man who lets his fists do the talking not like Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan who got exactly what he deserved on the under-card fight. Can GGG keep going and training the way he does? Over 300 amateur fights 40 professional fights - how much can the body and brain cells take and would he still have the desire now? Maybe it's time to call it a day and bail out with dignity. Love to see Canelo V BJS :) What a night! - What a fight!

Canelo also showed us that he can change up his gameplan and fight a totally different fight and still "win", he's the much faster man and more versatile boxer. This fight was an instant classic. Amazing fight, I thought GGG won as he pounded Canelo from the 4th round on. But Canelo stood toe to toe with GGG, much respect for him being able to stay up after the shots he took from GGG. Its a shame they stole the first fight from GGG as its tainted the series. I hope GGG gets another shot but hell he's at the tail end of his career now.

You don't stand toe to toe with someone by Mayweathering backwards the entire fight . This was a one sided walk down beating and Clenelo Alvaroids was on the receiving end. Period that's FACTS 💯 Brother Update... I was referring to the first fight not this one. I just realized this was the post fight for the second one. My bad but still tho.

Smh at the casual fans who don’t understand that body shots give you points too, and for the second straight fight GGG barely hit Canelo in the body.... not to mention the fact that Canelo had more power punches, just look at GGG’s face at the end of the fight, it was completely fucked up, that’s probably why he wore the shades.... plus, Canelo made GGG step backwards all fight I personally had it as a draw, and it could’ve gone either way, but a Canelo victory shouldn’t surprise anyone, now let’s get a 3rd fight

I’m a triple g fan, but they both fought a great fight. When it seemed like g stunned canelo... I wish he would have dug deep and finished, and I also wish he would have let loose a little more on the body like he normally does. Otherwise, good fight and I look forward to the 3rd one.

GGG won the first fight, no doubt. As for the second fight, that was completely a draw.

As a person who speaks both languages (Russian and English), I confirm translator wasn't accurate enough. He wasn't translating whole question to GGG and wasn't translating full response. Also, we all saw he asked several times to repeat questions. Maybe he couldn't hear, but for sure once he wasn't paying sufficient attention. We can understand he was nervous. But there should have been another translator.

Canelo won that fight watch the fight without sound no commentary from bias ass Jim lampley there were at least 15xs Jim said “triple g lands another right” NO PUNCH LANDED casual boxing fans are easily fooled by bias commentary. Funny how the fight was called knowing Canelo is leaving HBO. Even Abel said GGG was losing there was no robbery get off that train

A close fight is a robbery if they give to the fighter with no belts.If you want to be the champion you have to decisively beat the champion.Just like Golovkin beat Canelo in the first fight and they scored it a draw with a 118-110 scorecard Golovkin either outboxed Canelo or at least made it a draw by the end in the second fight and they gave it to Canelo.The problem is that we are watching professional boxing and like every other business in Capitalism it is based on profit and the most longterm profitable outcome today was Canelo winning cause he is the younger boxer and he will fight for more time.This is professional boxing and this is Capitalism.

You don't know much about this sport "Robbery" in boxing means the judges decision is TOO far from reality. In this case, as you say, the fight was pretty close. It could be to ona side or the other. But, as Canelo went forward the entire fight, maybe that's the reason the judges gave it to Canelo. I would do the same.

WAYNE FG isn’t boxing rules hit and don’t get hit ? How they both end up with cuts on their faces ? Considering that canelo’s cut came first and GGG’s in the last round obviously some damage had been done and they both only had good defense on their jabs the rest they were pretty much open, canelo had more combos and hit the body more, cut off the ring and was the chaser the whole fight. It was very close indeed but he won by a small margin because he closed out the rounds better except for a few in the beginning of the fight where ggg landed some nice clean uppercuts and hooks.

In the first fight Canelo was still landing more effective shots thus creating the draw. In the rematch Canelo was the aggressor, landed more power shots, and controlled pace. Canelo improved while Gennady stepped backwards.

He tried to win by points in that first fight and this fight. Fans and the judges don't want to give fighters wins for scoring points. They want fighters who go for knockouts. GGG didn't try to knockout Canelo in either fight.

I agree it was a hell of a fight if any of the judges had it wider than 1 round either way i could argue poor judging but in my opinion it was an amazing fight win lose or draw and im content with the decision and these are the type of fights true boxing fans yearn for. bro he won fair no way around it. landed more power punches and jabs even tho ggg threw 3 times as much jabs. but it's jabs...lol he opnly looked inposin in the last few rounds. but remember u gotta judge the whole fight not just who had the best hype moments

Jose Zamora you are stupid, they don’t base the fight as a whole fight, that’s why they have rounds. Percentages are just for show at the end of the fight, judges score by round. Plus ggg doubled Camelot’s jabs, that’s a lot of points my dude.

Everybody treats that translator as an inanimate object, putting him closer to the mic, moving him a little to this side and to the other side :DDD

Ggg was the one moving forward, throwing more punches and dictating the pace in their first fight but they didn’t give it to him

canelo fought ggg like lara fought canelo yet people say lara won that fight even when everybody knows that lara must have pissed blood for those mean body shots canelo connected on the otger hand golovkin was connecting canelo with jabs that doesnt work when you are fighting an a side boxer
