Gennady Golovkin (Highlights/Knockouts)
Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (Cyrillic: Генна́дий Генна́дьевич Голо́вкин; also spelled Gennadiy; born 8 April 1982), often known by his nickname "GGG" or "Triple G", is a Kazakhstani professional boxer. He is a two-time middleweight world champion, having held the IBF and IBO titles since 2019. He previously held the unified WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and IBO titles between 2014 and 2018 and was ranked as the world's best boxer, pound for pound, from September 2017 to September 2018 by The Ring magazine. As of May 2021, he is ranked as the world's seventh best active boxer, pound for pound, by BoxRec, eighth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board[3] and tenth by Boxing Writers Association of America. He is also ranked as the world's best active middleweight by BoxRec, The Ring, and TBRB, and second by ESPN. Golovkin won the WBA interim middleweight title in 2010 by defeating Milton Núñez. The WBA elevated him to Regular champion status in the same year. He won the IBO title the following year. In 2014, Golovkin was elevated to the status of WBA (Super) champion and successfully defended both his titles against Daniel Geale. Later that year he defeated Marco Antonio Rubio to win WBC interim middleweight title, and defeated David Lemieux for the IBF middleweight title in 2015. After Canelo Álvarez vacated his WBC middleweight title in 2016, Golovkin was elevated to full champion and held three of the four major world titles in boxing until being stripped by the IBF in 2018 for not fighting Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Golovkin lost all his titles, as well as his undefeated record, following a loss to Álvarez in 2018. He regained his IBF and IBO titles by defeating Derevyanchenko in 2019.
A calculating pressure fighter, Golovkin is known for his exceptionally powerful and precise punching, balance, and methodical movement inside the ring. With a streak of 23 knockouts that spanned from 2008 to 2017, he holds the highest knockout-to-win ratio - 89.7% - in middleweight championship history.[citation needed] Golovkin is also said to have one of the most durable chins in boxing history, having never been knocked down or otherwise stopped in a total of 393 fights, 43 as a professional and 350 as an amateur. In his amateur career, Golovkin won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 2003 World Championships. He went on to represent Kazakhstan at the 2004 Summer Olympics, winning a middleweight silver medal.

GGG the most powerful middle weight I have ever seen in my time. His speed 🚄🚅 and timing is amazing!
I was so disgusted by the canelo fights I almost stopped watching boxing. But I get why it's so crooked. They need canelo to stay popular to sell the sport. GGG won both of those fights.

When you look at all these body builders who go into the ring and look like they could break a man in half with one punch but aren't what they appear yet this guy looks like a waiter with thin arms and legs but he's like a droid, like some invisible relentless force just turns him into an indestructible terminator programmed to eliminate whatever stood in front of him.

GGG’s career mirrored Marvin Hagler’s in a lot of ways. Despite being clearly one of the best MW’s in the world, he was avoided and couldn’t get big fights, and therefore wasn’t well known. But, he kept winning his fights in dominant fashion until the top fighters could no longer deny him and the fans got behind him. Then once he finally got the fight he’s been seeking (Canelo for GGG, Leonard for Hagler) he got robbed by the money fighter who has more promotional power behind them, because boxing, at the end of the day, is the most crooked and corrupt business there is. Despite what the records say, we know GGG and Hagler both won their fights respectively and were the best MW’s of their generation. Both held on to the belt for a very long time and cemented themselves as All-Time greats. Both were “Seek and Destroy” fighters

He sent so many MF'S into early retirement. That Man was the real deal. It's a damn shame the judges fucked him over the way they did. That match up took so long to happen because Canelo got caught on the juice while GGG gave out all natural ass whoopings. GGG is the best natural middleweight all time in my book.
GGG won both fights vs. Canelo in the eyes of most serious boxing fans....and he was already 35-36 years old at the time. So for all the Golovkin haters who claim 'he never fought anybody'....well he beat the supposed p4p best ...who was in his prime - TWICE......and Canelo was on steroids to top it off.
