Bivol is like a boxing texbook in human form. Some of the best fundemental's I've seen ever. It's amazing how good his form is and how sharp he is able to stay. His fighting style is deceptively simple. The only thing I want him to do different is to use more uppercuts. If he can start throwing uppercuts with the speed and technique he does with his jabs, crosses, straights and power shots. It would be absolutely lethal

he's got that perfect pop. Ridiculously good fundamentals. If you can't disrupt his rhythm, you have no chance against him. Never over-commits on his punches, maintains his balance, and right back out of range before you can respond.

I've gained a great deal of respect for this young man, especially the way he's conducted himself pre-Saul and post-Saul. I don't expect he'll beat Beterbiev if the fight ever happens but he definitely has the tools to make it happen. I hope to see it go down, may the best man win if/when it does.

If Bivol has a smart gameplan and executes well I think he could pull it off. He's extremely disciplined, doesn't over-commit on his punches and controls the range very well. He's deceptively powerful as well, his punches have a great pop to them, he has very good conditioning and is able to keep up an extremely high work rate if he needs to. His fundamentals are genuinely some of the best I’ve seen from any boxer. You never see him get sloppy, and he doesn't use more energy than he needs to. He's a very very sharp fighter. As you see in this video, if his opponents aren't able to disrupt his rhythm they have no chance against him. I think if he were to fight Beterbiev has gameplan would probably be to keep him at range as much as possible, work the jab, and try to wear Artur down over the fight, conserving as much of his energy as he can while keeping it close and then start punishing Beterbiev from round 6 or 7 onwards. He has a really good jab and excellent distance control and that combined with his conditioning could end up being a problem for Beterbiev. That being said, Beterbiev hits like a goddamn truck and all it would take is a single mistake from Bivol for things to get real bad for him real quick. So many fighters Beterbiev has gone up against turn into completely different fighters after he gets one good shot in on them. One of two things tends to happen, either his punches just seem to take all the fight out of his opponents, OR they rapidly lose their discipline and start getting extremely sloppy (which leads to more openings, which leads to them getting hit again and it snowballs). I think that Beterbiev is capable of doing something critical that basically everyone who's fought Bivol hasn't been able to do. Artur almost certainly has the ability to disrupt Bivol's rhythm. His power, toughness, and aggressive style has the potential to make Bivol hesitate and not let Bivol fight the fight that he wants to fight. Still, in most of his fights Beterbiev has a much slower work rate when compared to Bivol and we've never seen his conditioning really tested (since none of his fights go the distance lol). Bivol still has an excellent guard and much better footwork than many of Artur's previous opponents and Bivol also doesn't just sit in range of his opponents when he fights, he's constantly moving in and out. Most of Artur's opponents have also been quite poor at fighting off the back foot and make the mistake of thinking they can sit in there and trade with Beterbiev. Something I highly doubt Bivol would be dumb enough to do. Whatever the outcome I think it would be a really interesting fight to watch and very competitive. At the bare minimum I think Bivol would be the biggest challenge that Beterbiev has faced to date. The biggest unknowns going into the fight for me would be, Artur's conditioning, the strength of Bivol's chin/how fights when he gets hurt or rocked, and finally, Beterbiev's ability to make adjustments mid-fight. So far we've never seen a fight where Beterbiev's primary game plan hasn't been successful and he's been forced to make a major adjustment to how he fights. I'd be shocked if this fight ended up being a slugfest, and I think if it goes the distance Bivol likely wins. But one major potential weakness for Bivol could actually end up being how textbook perfect his style and fundamentals are. For someone like Beterbiev, this could give him the ability to figure out Bivol's timing very quickly and set him up to catch Bivol with a devastating counter. The best way I can put it, is that my brain says Bivol wins and I think he is the better "boxer" between the two of them. But as I've said, it only takes a single shot from Beterbiev for the whole dynamic of the fight to change. Bivol was able to brush off some hard shots from Canelo, but in terms of power Beterbiev is in an entirely different league. But if you asked me who I'd rather go up against in the ring I'd say Bivol, not because I think I'd even have a chance of winning, but because I really really really don't want to be punched by Artur Beterbiev. He punches through you in a way that can cause some really serious damage and permanent injury. It's like a sledgehammer. Plus he's not afraid to really load up and put everything into a punch, even if it may leave him open/off-balance. Bivol's punches have that really quick viper-like "pop" where he brings them back and resets very quickly after they connect. He will load up as well, but he doesn't really do it in a way that has the potential to leave him off balance. Overall, it’s a really hard fight to pick a winner for but if I had to, I'd say Bivol by decision. I think the longer the fight goes the better Bivol's odds of winning. Of course as you know, anything can happen in boxing, so I think both guys have a real chance of winning. I imagine it would look a lot like the Canelo fight if it goes Bivol's way, but I think he would have to be at his absolute best. I rewatched some of the Canelo fight when I was thinking about this and there were shots Canelo landed early in that fight which Bivol was able to handle pretty easily. But I can't help thinking that if Beterbiev was the one throwing those, the effect they had on Bivol would have been different, if not fight-altering. EDIT: I think a great case study is a comparison of each of their Joe Smith Jr. fights. It really highlights their strengths as fighters and demonstrates the risks that each poses to the other. Two entirely different ways to victory over the same person.

I would love to see him against Beterbiev.I know Beterbiev is strong and conditioned but you are not going to walk through everyone.Bivol won't be there to be hit and he is such a skilled fighter ,and busy but purposeful Beterbiev also has shown he can be caught and hurt and knocked down in three of his fights. Don't boxers need to get a big payday before retiring? Bivol regards Artur as "dangerous, but worth the risk". But is there a payday in it for the boxers? Artur needs to learn to wait a few seconds for the count when he gets knocked down. That's hard to do when you are dazed. So you rely on your corner. Foreman felt abandoned by his corner in Zaire. Ali was seemingly clear when he jumped back up after Frazier put him down with that left hook. People respected Ali more after that.

That is the thing casuals don't understand and don't realize COULD be why Bivol beats Canelo. A lot of people don't realize that for as great as Canelo is - he's still a bit of a plodder. Lara beat him almost with footwork alone. Khan did excellent against Canelo until he fucked up like he always does... and that's KHAN. GGG has good footwork and a good jab that caused havoc for Canelo to a draw. Bivol has a good jab too. I favor Canelo but won't be surprised at ALL if Bivol outboxes him.

I'm amazed how casuals just don't understand how fast is Bivol on his feet. His feet are his weapon of choice and his defence. Watch not his fists, watch how he moves in the ring. @@pacoimeroxvida4404 Not true. Bivol looks like a great fighter. But Canelo literally just unified all of the belts at 168, the first to ever do it. Not only that but he did it in 11 months fighting 4 world champions back to back to back to back. And to be fair Plant wasn’t terrible. Looking at who Bivol is fighting it’s hard to say. Canelo likes to break down his opponents and eat the body. It would be a competitive close fight but it’s hard to say who’d win. Bivol definitely isn’t the favorite.

bivol como ya se sabe, pega y pega durisimo, se mueve bien, maneja bien a los heavy punchers y aparte como ya se a visto en otras peleas se ve que aguanta madrasos duros, ese man no es de papel jajaja su unico pedo es que no es alguien que maneje bien la presion, se hace bolas en cuanto le presionan en terreno corto. Sinceramente si canelo deja que bivol haga su ritmo niiiiiii de pedo gana canelo, para suerte de canelo sabe meter mucha presion y sinceramente es ahi donde se va a decidir la pelea de su lado.

Que poco nivel hay en las categorías pesadas, con razón el Canelo no quiere bajar porque puro tronco, son lentos y no tienen movimientos de cintura ni de piernas basan todo en el poder de los golpes sin importar descuidar la guardia. No me sorprendería que el Canelo lo pueda noquear ya es buen contragolpeador

@@jonathanags8749 efectivamente panita, en cierto punto canelo y su equipo por eso ni se preocupan en una pelea "buena" en categorias mas bajas, porque saben bien que con un buen cheque tienen la pelea con quien y cuando se les antoje. Siendo serios pocos boxeadores hacen "meritos" para exigir una pelea con ese man, ejemplo claro seria andrade que solo calienta su cinturon a pura defensas y ni el intento de unificar hace por temor de perder su "record" con charlo por 3 pesos.

Bivol has a strap at 175 and if he wins he can later unify with Beterbiev. The names at 175 aren’t as sexy as Charlo or Benavidez but they are definitely tougher fights. Even Andre Ward came out saying that Canelo should leave the monsters at 175 alone.

What did canelo gain fighting british mediocre fighters? This is the first time canelo fights a real fighter since GGG. He is lesser known because he didn't have a marketing machine and promoter like golden boy. Dont make no mistake he definitely has the skills. If canelo beats him then he will be a legitimate champion.

The big fights against Charlo and Benavidez will happen we just have to be patient as fans. Undisputed is for legacy that comes first. Canelo even said he ain’t retiring soon so what’s the rush 😂

@@Kingsco415 the rush that hes not fighting these fighters at his prime. The older he gets the less he'll fight tougher opponents. You dont know how a fighter ages. The best fight happen in their mid 20s lower 30s. Hes already cherry picking this fight happens because hes forced to take these sort of fights because hes pool of shitty fighters is getting less and less. Bivol is the right opponent to cement canelo as a legit fighter.

Al octavo round está extremadamente cansado tal vez no tiene un verdadero equipo de entrenamiento y nutrición profesional. A estas alturas ya no ay excusa para no tener condición física. Hay sospechas de peleas arregladas. También tiene .000 humildad. Por esta razón Canelo no es bien visto por muchos mexicanos que realmente saben del boxeo. Nunca será visto por su gente como a las leyendas mexicanas como: Salvador Sánchez, Julio César Chávez, Márquez, Finito López, Barrera, Morales etc. Por lo mismo vive en USA, no se siente en casa en su tierra.
