I so appreciate the comparison between nakedness and self-awareness, even though it appears so obvious once it's pointed out, but I'm ashamed that I've never made that blatant a connection before, only a vague awareness regarding the nakedness. So appreciate this Genesis series. And as always, I so appreciate Dr. Lawson's direct, forthright manner and not soft-pedaling the nature of sin out if fear of "offending" anyone, such as was my experience in the detached, academic, superficially "nice" OPC in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

This passage of Scripture from The Book of Genesis is a good passage to read during the Season of Pentecost, which generally runs from May 24 through November 19. The beloved hymn, Oh, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing, goes well with this passage.

The thorn represents the curse, Jesus takes the thorn at the cross... Your choice to accept Jesus taking the curse for you or not.... The Lord God is Agape

Jesus is the Light of the World: Those who reject his light do not believe. They do not realize that the very same light will come to an end for those who do not believe. They take life for granted: they trample over the blood of Jesus; they breathe his air, eat his food, drink his water, commune with one another, etc. because Jesus is the light of this world. Hell awaits them, where there is no rest, happiness, healing, etc.; there is only inconceivable, unexplainable torment and regret. The Light of Jesus will be absent in hell; only the Father’s wrath abides there (John 3:36). Repent, before it's too late.

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel." Genesis 3:15 He shall bruise you on the head. The word "shall" indicates the certainty off it, and the word "bruise" literally means to crush, to to, batter. It is an imperfect verb which indicates that this infliction of off this crushing force that Jesus will bring upon the devil it will be repeated in many blows.. ultimately it will point to the Cross... And you (the devil) shall bruise (same word here) him (referring to Jesus) on the heel, not the head, the heel. And the difference is, Jesus will crush the head off the serpent at the Cross. The serpent will bruise the heel of Jesus. It is a blow from which Jesus will recover, it was not to the head, it was to the heel. And it is a foreshadowing off the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! He will come back to life, it will not be a final defeat, it was a victory at the Cross! And He will come back to life, and He will rule and reign forever and He will be the Savior off His people.👑 He will be seated at the right hand of the Father on high and whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The spiritual warfare that is going on all around us, in the midst of the pollution of the culture and the society and the country and the nation. In the midst of all that is threatening us,.. we have the steadfast hope of victory in the Lord Jesus Christ..🕊️🤗 Amen! Soli Deo Gloria! Thank you Dr. Steven for the powerful message that has uplifted my spirits. Life is difficult now, but hearing how the Lord has foreshadowed and prepared the gospel message through Jesus Christ since the beginning is a great revelation..😭 He is so good,.. always.
